I agree. Clinton needs to be defeated. Any halfwit knows that Sanders was entered into the race so socialist Clinton could claim to have been ‘forced’ to the left. All in favor of socialism will welcome her candidacy once the smoke clears.
Trump is our only standing warrior at this point. Cruz has no chance to win....in fact has lost and appears to be having trouble saving face for some reason. Maybe it’s a Cuban heritage thing. I don’t know.
In any case, we need to EXPAND our army. That means engaging Cruz supporters in a way that will make their transition easy. I am not suggesting any bowing and scraping and begging. I’m simply saying that politeness goes a long way. Grant knew that with Lee. At the same time, I do believe that Cruz supporters should also recognize that Trump supporters are going to be celebrating. Some of that needs to be overlooked, too. There’s a bit of it that should be expected.
It’s a balance, but most people know the difference between celebration and in-your-face rudeness.

Without Ted Cruz's ground troops in this war, you better get used to saying "Madam President."
If you aren't going to work for reconciliation and continue to use perjoratives even after you achieved your victory, then it is people like you who will be responsible if Trump is not elected.
I've taken the first step towards reconciliation. It appears that a lot of newbie Trump supporters here on Free Republic are not going to work towards that goal. They think they can win this without the support of people like me, people who were not and may not ever be fully on board with Trump, but who are willing to bury the hatchet to save the Republic. You, however, would rather lose just to punish us.
I don’t think we need to induct traitors in our ranks. And Discerning the difference between misguided individuals and traitors to the cause as Jim would characterize is actually quite a chore.

I think we need to instead expand the army you refer to by reaching out to Independents and likely crossover voters. We don’t need the Elmer Gantry types though they do have their place and a Tent Revival they have no place in this campaign.
People who thought Ted was somehow the face of God, or to support making a false oath of office from a nut like Glenn Beck, are a vast minority and more than slightly unhinged.

The national parties are realigning into a globalist party and the Nationalist party. I’m inclined to hope that the Republican party will become the quintessential Nationalist party.
Nationalism is a primary root of conservatism.

JR called for unity, I made an effort to move in that direction and it appears that it is not going to happen. These people want blood, not victory. Revenge, not reconciliation. Division, not unity.

FWIW, Tommy Emmanuel is the greatest living guitar player. Even Chet Atkins said that before he died.
Sandra Bae and Gabriella Quevedo are the two cutest guitar players but are both masters of their instruments. They can play note for note with masters like Emmanuel but are much easier on the eyes.
Trace Bundy and Andy McKee are just amazing players who use the whole guitar to create a one man band effect using alternative tunings.
Antoine Dufour is insane. You can’t believe what he can do with 6 strings and 10 fingers.
Don Ross is another of the best guitar players on the planet.
What people do with 6 strings and 10 fingers is just amazing. I think some of these guys must be aliens from another planet because no human being can do that.

MIA, “traitors in our ranks” is so anti-reality. I’ll bet I can go back no more than 2 months and find the founder of this site saying, “Go Cruz. Go Trump.” IOW, calling Cruz supporters traitors denies the reality of a fast moving campaign. I probably switched over right before Christmas, but I never would have considered Cruz supporters traitors. They were doing what I was doing, looking for the best position given the circumstances. I’ll bet I can find quotes from any number of major trump supporters saying that Cruz has better conservative credentials, but Trump has a greater willingness to take it to the enemy.
Somehow those same people didn’t become traitors overnight for sticking by their guy. There comes a time, though, when reality of delegate count settles in and you acknowledge that your guy, despite being a good conservative, is losing. #Ne erTrump was just a slogan that was used by a campaign to try to influence loss of support and disheartenment.
With the vast majority it never meant “Clinton is better than Trump.” These people don’t believe that.

I changed to Trump over the holidays and did had not seen some of the absolute insanity of BECK and the “FACE OF GOD” baloney.
I have now. I think that is the reality. And today pretty much puts icing on the crazy cake... with the offering of a VP, when there is nopath to victory.
And now I consider that “second ballot initiative” strategy just the next step in the ‘traitor to the grass roots” campaign.
