DENVER The Colorado Supreme Court declined to hear the case of a Lakewood baker who refused to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple.
The decision upholds a ruling by the Colorado Court of Appeals last summer that found Masterpiece Cakeshop owner Jack Phillips cannot cite religious beliefs or free-speech rights in refusing to make a wedding case for a same-sex couple.

Of course the fix is in
Fed supreme court next.
Are there any Muslim bakers in CO? That should be the next test. See if they are held to the same standards.
Would a Mohammedan baker be ordered to make a rum cake with maple-bacon icing for a same-sex wedding, be forced to deliver it to the party, and be forced to serve it? Somehow I think the case would turn differently....and heads would roll. Literally.
The courts up and down the line are corrupt activists.
The remedy for Supreme Court nonsense is state nullification. I don’t know what the remedy would be for state Superior Court activism, but there must be some provisions - state legislature nullification maybe.
I guess the EEOC in obamunist justice doesnt believe religious rights belong to anyone besides muslims.
EEOC vs. Star Transport: John Hendrickson, the EEOC Regional Attorney for the Chicago District Office said, “Everyone has a right to observe his or her religious beliefs, and employers don’t get to pick and choose which religions and which religious practices they will accommodate’
oh wait, it only applies to EMPLOYEES! business owners are screwed!
This will be easier if you little people accept your place.
[Fed Supreme Court next]
If 4-4, that upholds the unfortunate lower court decision.
We’d be lucky to even get 4-4, because of the disgusting Anthony Kennedy.
After a while, the news is just too depressing to read. Freedom of religion? Forget it - unless you put it in scare quotes to ridicule the very idea.
Good point. The rights of business owners come second when the inmates run the asylum
So the gov can dictate what your beliefs are.
Any further appeal would have to go through the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals first.
The article stated that the owner claimed that he’d sell anything but a wedding cake to them. A sane couple might have asked for a cake w/o any homosexual things on it out of respect for the guy’s religious beliefs and a sane government might ask why we can’t have a logical compromise on this topic. Nothing is sane though when it comes to the rainbow nazis.
Moreover, there are no political messages in simple, sane solutions nor is there money for lawyers. Moreover, there’s no way a sane solution can be exploited for campaign contributions come election season.
All of this makes me want to projectile vomit.
How about if a gay couple goes into a muzliym bakery and asks them to make a wedding cake.
When the towelheads refuse, will there be a lawsuit and appeals all the way to the supreme court? No.
Absolutely nothing will happen, the couple will have been thrown off a tall building and the police will be “unable” to find a motive.
Some day, all the gay mafia thugs and their enablers should be prosecuted for this evil. These predatory lawsuits and administrative orders ruin lives, and the bullies who engage in such practices that violate the Eighth Amendment by inflicting excessive fines and infringe on our God-given First Amendment right to freedom of religion are unforgivably malicious. If it takes five decades, they should all be hunted down and prosecuted once the rule of law is restored.

18 U.S. Code § 242 - Deprivation of rights under color of law
Whoever, under color of any law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom, willfully subjects any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution . . . shall be fined under this title, or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.

I’m okay with life in prison or even death if their predatory persecutions destroy the victim’s life. I’m also okay with no statute of limitations, since federal crimes that carry the death penalty have no statute of limitations. These predators are eventually need to pay for their crimes.
“Are there any Muslim bakers in CO? That should be the next test. See if they are held to the same standards.”
Good idea.
You can test it if you like.
All you need to do is move to Colorado, find a Muslim baker, order a wedding cake, and have a wedding where you ‘marry’ someone of your same gender.
However, owners can refuse service if patrons are barefoot or not wearing shirts, if a sign saying so is posted.
This is really screwed up.
