Kasich wants Ind. votes despite Cruz pact
The Hill ^ | April 25, 2016 | Mark Hensch

Republican presidential candidate John Kasich on Monday said that Indiana’s voters should still back him, despite an alliance with Ted Cruz to clear the way for his presidential rival in the state's Republican primary.

“I’ve never told them not to vote for me,” he said at a diner in Philadelphia. "They ought to vote for me.

“I’m not out there campaigning and spending resources,” Kasich added. "I’m not going to spend resources in Indiana. [Cruz is] not going to spend resources in other places. “So what? What’s the big deal? What’s wrong with that? I’m not campaigning in Indiana, and he’s not campaigning in those other states. That’s all.”

Saw Twitter clip from MSNBC at early polling location in Indiana.

Kasich early voters not crossing to Cruz. Interview with voter “You have to vote for the guy. Not the game. I couldn’t vote for Cruz. “

The alliance is reaping all the negatives and very little positive.

Food fight!

I was going to say knife fight between the losers.

Food Fight between the losers describes them better!

Doesn’t surprise me. The two attract entirely different republican voters.

I figured this would blow up in their faces. WTH was Roe/Cruz thinking?

He doesn’t have to. He just got Kasich to not compete in Indiana. My guess is that if Cruz pulls out a win in Indiana, he WILL compete in New Mexico and Oregon for votes (regardless of his agreement) saying that Kasich has no chance. He proved in Iowa that dirty tricks work for him. Just watch. Hopefully Kasich is not THAT gullible. That is why I decided against Cruz, He represents GOP establishment politics 100%.

When Trump wins the general election, will Cruz, Kasich & GOP support Obama making himself King to deny Trump the presidency?

We want to rely on the Republican brain trust to defeat Clinton.

These people couldn’t win an Elks Club election!

There once was a lady from Riga
who rode with a smile on a tiger.
They came back from the ride
with the lady inside
and the smile on the face of the tiger.

Cruz is pretty stupid if he really thinks the Establishment GOP will support him in the increasingly unlikely possibility he stops Trump.

Donald J. Trump ‏@realDonaldTrump 2 hours ago

Kasich just announced that he wants the people of Indiana to vote for him. Typical politician - can't make a deal work.

Looks like the Cruz Kasich alliance lasted less than 24 hours.
