Cruz is doing a decent job of talking to political junkies, and a terrible job of talking to everyone else. Some of that is the medias fault and much of it is Ted Cruzs fault.
Find a friend of yours who doesnt pay much attention to politics. Ask those people what Trump wants to do. Dont ask them about their opinion of Trump. Ask them what actual government actions the Trump wants. They will definitely tell you that he wants to build a wall, ban Muslim immigration, and deport illegal aliens. They will tell you that he will negotiate better trade deals and either get our allies to contribute more to their defenses or else abandon our alliances. .. they all know what he wants to do.
Now ask those same friends what Cruz wants. They might know that he was born in Canada, and they may have some opinions about the various memes making fun of his appearance, but ask them what Cruz wants the government to do. You might get repeal Obamacare. You will more likely get absolutely nothing.
I havent heard a single news report where Cruz has said one thing that would impact the life of a voter. ....Cruz talks in the coded language of political junkies. He talks about religious liberty and partial birth abortion, but large swaths of his hearers have no idea what he is talking about....The regular person couldnt tell you anything, because Cruz might as well be speaking a foreign language in his prepared speeches and his paid media.
I also suspect that this is why Cruz does better in low turnout contests.
Do they want to replace the current tax system with a flat tax and a VAT? I doubt it.

Cruz needs to do a better job of communicating with the 180-character reality-show watching morons, who are too lazy to put down the Honey Boo boo and spend 30 minutes researching each candidate before voting. But, he’s also been crippled by the media, which has spent more time on Trump than every other candidate combined.
He’s only been on the national stage a couple years and mid 40s age.
He’s got a number of election cycles ahead to improve his game and (hopefully in my view) get the citizen thing squared away once and for all.
"Damn the voters", the endgame of a failed campaign.
If he wants a future in politics Ted needs to drop out Wednesday.
I appreciate your support for the progressive fraud and look forward to your tears of anger when reality hits.
Ted Cruz was in third place in four states tonight.
Trump swept all five.
I'm not crying.
November 2016 and January 2017 are comming
And Donald Trump is going to beat Hillary so bad she'll be drowning in tears.
