Consider Mona Chalabi, an editor of the iconic leftwing British newspaper, The Guardian, who believes that having good grammar and correcting others is racist, an expression of “white privilege.”

The old CiF section of The Guardian (now called Opinion) is one of the looniest showcases of left-wing thought processes. I don’t know if the writers do dope on a regular basis or just are stuck on stupid. I guess the old advocates of ebonics are back. They may make headway this time.
They are now considering banning comments because it hurts female “editorialists’” feelings.
Why shouldn’t it be? Everything else is. Why not good grammar?

Me: "You were considered for a heavy phone sales job. His secondary language is better than your ONLY and PRIMARY language. Buyers of my product want to hear professionalism and the "King's English". You have neither attributes".

Me: "Good luck. One look at your interview tape and your signed paperwork will clearly show who is more qualified. By the way, I DID hire a minority. Be sure to tell your attorney THAT".
Maybe onanism is racist because it is always white.

Incoherence? Thomas Lifson is way off. It couldn’t be any clearer.
Liberals are racists. If anything they are becoming more
coherent the closer they get to total overthrow.
My childhood black English teacher would have disagreed. She was just as hard on blacks as whites.
The movie Airplane had a scene of an old woman translating a black man’s “Jive”.
Blacks and some other groups have had their own in-group sub-language for years. The idiocy is acting as if it has its a separate language and should be privileged as such.
Having a linguistic ghetto is a guarantee for poverty, more than any racist bias would. (And to quote Sargon of Akkad, if society were truly racist against X groups, being called racist would not be an insult or cause apologies, it would get laughed at for stating an obvious truth.)
Fantastic! I’m not a good speller and the rules of English grammar and writing styles are so complex that literally no one can know them all. Finally I’ve been released from bondage!

Having good grammar and failing to correct others (politely and discretely, but clearly enough that they can learn) just because they have a different skin color, is racist. This is a guarantee that those with bad grammar will always be seen as less educated, less intelligent, and less teachable. I cannot imagine hating black people enough to want them to sound uneducated, or having so much contempt for them that I couldn't believe they were capable of learning to speak proper English. I expected good grammar from my children before they were five years old, and that was not an expression of superiority, just an expression of love.

That’s what common core is. Bring everything and everyone
down to the lowest common denominator. Like speed limits, set so
that the stupidest people who barely pass a driving exam
can drive safely.
Besides 85 is actually rare, it’s the shear laziness and
the chip on their shoulder that’s the problem. Legitimate
success in the minority community is frowned upon. These
groups have been custom made for a coup by their own laziness.
It’s SHEER laziness. :-)
