Ted Cruz, John Kasich join forces to stop Donald Trump
CNN ^ | April 24, 2016 | David Mark

Ted Cruz and John Kasich issued startling statements Sunday night about their paths ahead, the first sign the two campaigns are coordinating to deny Donald Trump the Republican presidential nomination.

Within minutes of each other, the pair issued statements saying they will divide their efforts in upcoming contests with Cruz focusing on Indiana and Kasich devoting his efforts to Oregon and New Mexico. The strategy is aimed at blocking Trump from gaining the 1,237 delegates necessary to claim to GOP nomination this summer.

You mean that a majority doesn't want Trump? Trump's hovering right at 49% nationally right now. Within the MOE, that means that a majority does want Trump, and that's in a 3-way race. In a 2 way race, Trump is way over 50%.

So even that old, tired, GOPe canard of the Cruz supporters is biting the dust.

You're a GOPe/Cruz fanboy, obviously, and NeverTrump as well, to be parroting such GOPe bullsh!t.

Everyone can see your true colors shining through, and that goes double for your collapsing candidates and their failed campaign.

The bottom line is that you and your ilk want the GOPe involved in the nomination process. Nothing more need be said.

Vote Trump

Meanwhile, in Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Rhode Island:

Trump gets over 50%, kind of renders any "strategic voting" irrelevant.

(God, how pathetic does your campaign have to be to ask your voters to vote for someone else? Have some pride.)

Delegates willing to sell themselves?

I can’t imagine there would be enough numbers of them to matter.

What an insult to the republican voters.

Two losers joining hands to kill a winner.

But, in due time the voters should prevail.

I think Trump will emerge stronger than ever.

Will El Rushbo tell his audience Cruz moving into the co-candidate phase of his campaign is principled and conservative thing to do? Or will Rushbo say, “All is fair in love and war”. That means “anything goes”. Rules, laws and honor are out the window.

Here’s a bit of fact to chew on: Trump has gotten more votes, and has won more delegates than any other Republican candidate in this primary.

The fact that he hasn’t won a clear majority in a race that began with 17 candidates, means little. He has dominated the race since he turned the corner in New Hampshire, and hasn’t looked back.

His position is now so strong, that his remaining two competitors have been forced into naked collusion, in a ridiculous and ill conceived bid to stop him. Somehow.

The race is only a ‘mess’, because the two losers refuse to admit the stark reality of their positions, and are attempting to force the race to be decided at the convention. You want to talk about a mess? The result of such a scheme could well set this country alight.

I have never heard a truer thing said of the GOP.

“losers joining hands to kill a winner.” -period end of story

Brilliant!

Bet it’s gonna be Rubio. Thinking Its been decided and the decision pushed Kasich to this team up with Cruz. But it makes no logical sense. Both Cruz and Kasich must know how this makes them look.

“Keep in mind the T rumpster is popular with only a minority of the electorate.”

Ted has received a couple million votes less than Trump, and is hundreds behind in the delegate count. What’s that say about his popularity with the electorate?

Amazing isn’t it? Trump is down to a co-candiate team of Cruz/Kasich. Trump can call his opponent campaign the Crusich team.

No D.C. insider collusion going on here. Just principled, conservative morals and honor.

I don’t need to chew on it. It’s math. It’s either correct or incorrect. In this case, it’s correct.

Exactly.

He has a promising political career as a senator and could have been President someday. All he had to do was run a good, honest, upright, Christian campaign and let the chips fall where they may. If he lost, he would have lost no political credibility. People would have liked him, and heck, Trump might have picked him for VP. Trump really liked him before he turned into attackTED. If not, he could have continued his work as a senator and ran again.

Why is he acting like this is his only shot? He’s still a young man politically speaking. He could run again in 4 (I hope not) or 8 years. He’s only in his mid 40s. He’s acting like he’s anointed for this (although Beck and his father seem to think so), and it has to be this year. Well, it likely won’t be this year, and he’s destroying a promising political career in the process.

Yes, this primary is a filthy mess. Cruz and Trump are both guilty. It ain’t just Cruz. It ain’t just Trump.

Okay! We need people in Oregon, Washington, Indiana, New Mexico, Nebraska and California to get organized and get feet on the ground to help Trump. The establishment people and their big pacs are going to win if people do not get involved. If anyone lives in these states start a thread hook up and get organized.

Time to take our country back!

Cruz, having stared into the Palintar too long, has become convinced that the only path forwards is an alliance with Sauron and his GOPe forces of darkness.

Cruzuman and Kasich Wormtongue plot to hold Trump in Isengard, and prevent him from controlling the One Ring of nominatioin at the convention. Rove, the Mouth of Sauron, predicts defeat for the free peoples.

However, the treachery of Cruzuman has awoken the slumbering FRents, and the rest of the long dormant base. Meanwhile the Nine Writers of Conservative Review spread black propaganda through the land, hoping to demoralize the peasant army that has begun to form.

Will Trump and his fellowship survive? Will Mordor unleash a host of smelly Hillarorcs for a last battle before the gates?

And in the shadows, waiting for the confusion of a contested convention, pale eyes watch and wait, belonging to a horrid creature that once might have been a Jeb! or Rubio, but dismal defeat has left it in lurking in silent darkness, waiting, hissing about the nomination...the precious nomination...
