““He’s racist,” the cabdriver replied, according to Mr. Panton.

Mr. Panton, taken aback, informed his driver that Mr. Cruz had a bust of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on the right side of his desk, that he was the only senator to attend the funeral of Nelson Mandela and that he had a “black guy” as a college roommate and best man at his wedding.

“I don’t believe that,” the cabby said, as Mr. Panton tells it.

“Well,” Mr. Panton replied, “you’re talking to him.”....

WOW, now what are they going to say about that.

TED CRUZ could take a lot of votes away from Hillary over this.

I appreciate your suggestions. I have not read his books. I do want to say I try not to judge Trump by what the “media trots out”. Same with Cruz. I try to judge on what I see myself. Like Trump’s “Today” interview the other day, or when he retweeted a pic mocking Mrs. Cruz’s looks. I have watched a couple of his rallies and have not been impressed. I do plan on going to one (assuming he’ll be coming to our area in a few weeks). It’s just every time I think I could bring myself to support him (if he’s nominated), he’ll do something that leaves me shaking my head.

Mandela and that he had a “black guy” as a college roommate and best man at his wedding.

LOL! "Some of my best friends, and even my best man are Black"....

NYT trying to help the GOPe by working with Cruz's supporters to try to take Trump down. F--- what the People want - they all want the status quo to continue....

Have you gone to his website and read his position papers? I would strongly advise you to do so.

The retweeing of “looks” was just like the Fiorina thing. Not “looks” per se, but expression. Such as small thing compared to his positions on immigration both legal and illegal, curbing crime with rule of law, protecting the 2nd Amendment, molzems, taxes, health care, veterans, off shore manufacturing and bringing it back, local control of education, reducing/elimination federal agencies, reducing red tape and regulations that stranging small businesses, securing borders, puting SCOTUS justices who will overturn Roe v Wade and “gay” marriage, and more.

Those to me are infinitely more important than something on twitter.

Do men hold each other like that? I never have in 46 years. That is weird and very unnatural.

“I am very worried about Trump winning the nomination- first, I think he’d lose to Hitlery. With his constantly shifting positions, all under the guise of “the art of the deal” it is impossible to know if he has any core values. ..”

Compare that with TED CRUZ, who has a LONG, CONSERVATIVE record:

“Cruz is no stranger to the nation’s highest court. As the solicitor general of Texas, he found himself arguing some of the most consequential cases of the last decade. On his Senate webpage, he lists six cases that established “landmark national victories”:
U.S. sovereignty against the United Nations and the World Court in Medellin v. Texas;
The Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms;
The constitutionality of the Texas Ten Commandments monument;
The constitutionality of the words “under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance;
The constitutionality of the Texas Sexually Violent Predator Civil Commitment law; and
The Texas congressional redistricting plan.”

Well we then have the other room mate that had a lot of negative things to say.

I consider Mandella to have been nothing but a Communist Terrorist and he was. He was no Saint, more of a thug.

Yes, I’ve read his position papers. They sound great. I just don’t believe him. If conservative principles are important to him, why did he donate to politicians who represent everything conservatives are against, to politicians who are destroying this country? Why did he work against us? If it was for business reasons, then that’s where his priorities lie. Not what’s best for country, but what’s best for “TRUMP”.

He could turn out to be one of the best presidents ever. I can’t see it, but I would be happy to be proven wrong.

He donated at least twice as much, if not more (can’t remember excatly but someone posted the entire list of his donations on FR) to Republicans. People have also explained, and so has Trump, that in order to do big businesses, the corrupt system currently in place mandates basically paying off the government. And THAT is one of the things he wants to change. Keep in mind that Trump has nothing to gain whatsover from running for and becoming President - he has money, power, fame, as well as a beautiful family who he will not be able to spend as much time with. What does he gain? He has said that it’s time for him to pay back the country, whcih has given him so much.

“...so has Trump, that in order to do big businesses, the corrupt system currently in place...”

So instead of exposing the corruption, he joined it.

“as well as a beautiful family who he will not be able to spend as much time with.”

Not sure he cares.

Nothing you can say will get me to forget what I already know about Trump. You can add to it, but it won’t negate it.

Wow, Trump doesn’t want to change baby diapers and (supposedly) thinks men who do are weird.

Can’t have him as pres.

And instead of taking the high road and not donating to Dem politicians and not doing business, he did business and hired tens of thousands of people. What a loser. He should have just never created a huge business.

So you’d rather have Hitlery/Burnie/Bite’em, then. Because any other R would lose hugely against whichever stiff the Dems trot out.

Adding - so if a man doesn’t want to change baby diapers, he doesn’t care about his family.

You have no reasoning power whatsoever!

Are you on any candidate’s payroll or member of the RNC by any chance? just wondering.

It was more than just changing diapers. He didn’t even want to be alone with his child.

And, no, I am not on anyone’s payroll. I am simply a conservative who is amazed so many have fallen for someone like Trump. But whatever. The damage is done.

If anyone wants to know what Trump said, did, or thinks, reading what OTHER people describe him as saying, thinking and doing often is not true, is out of context, partial, etcetcetcetc. If I want to know what Trump said or thinks about fathers and babies, I’ll look some place other than Buzzfeed.

Note my tagline.

So since you hate Trump, I hope you’re getting ready for Hitlery/Burnie/Bite’em. Cruz has no chance to win against any Dem, even if he’s frog marched into being the R candidate at a corrupt convention.
