Bathroom Wars’ Goal: Humiliate the American Normal Majority
Breitbart.com ^ | 23 Apr 2016 | John Hayward

Welcome to life in totalitarian America, where even going to the bathroom and identifying the sex of an adult have now become intensely political acts.

Totalitarianism is about the politicization of everything, and once people’s careers can be destroyed by the New Bathroom Order if they publicly object to the once-bizarre idea of men in the ladies’ room–we’re there. Ask the now-unemployed Curt Schilling.

Totalitarianism is about using force to gain political goals. You can’t get more coercive than forcing the vast majority of people to endorse the utterly bizarre just to accommodate the allegedly hurt feelings of an almost undetectably small percentage of the population. So for the sake of each transgendered person’s hurt feelings, two thousand ordinary folk must be forced to ignore what their eyes and hearts tell them … and be publicly slandered as quasi-racist bigots if they murmur any objection.

Moreover, Americans have already solved the problem: They just politely ignore the fact that public bathrooms are quietly used by transsexuals–both those who look like the other sex and those who really don’t look like the other sex. That decent-minded, live-and-let-live compromise means Americans don’t have to pretend that men are women, and they can call the police if they feel threatened, for example, when a transsexual wants to use a changing room in a school.

But the progressives’ hostility to Americans’ civic compromises was always an element of the gay marriage crusade, as well. It was clear that the amount of coercive force unleashed upon society to make gay marriage work was far, far greater than the coercion necessary to allow civil unions to quietly operate alongside normal marriage.

It's always been about normalizing aberrant behavior.

Been saying that since 1998 here on FR.

“Did nothing to convince me that Obama didn’t win.”

So, even at this late date, you don’t take massive demonrat fraud as a given?

That’s sort of like believing Alger Hiss was innocent.

And you didn’t get the part concerning the half of all voters that didn’t vote?

I read somewhere that based upon the actual number of registered intersex birth certificate name changes (driver’s licenses, IIRC), that’s a fixed number of about 90,000. Out of 300 million. Means that’s three ten thousandths of the population or 0.03% of the population. Talk about your tyranny of the minority. Why is ANYone bending over backwards for a group which is already knowingly - by modern medical science - to be, simply, mentally ill?

So-called “transgenders” or “Gender-Identity Disordered” individuals are not “gay.” Their disorder runs deeper than that. They have higher rates of suicide than normal OR homosexual populations, and so-called gender reassignment surgery doesn’t make them happier on the whole (or, ahem... hole). Comorbidities include higher than normal rates of Bipolar, Depressive and other mood disorders.

Why are we being subjected to this? It’s how the left is using the LGBTXYZ crowd’s homoleftists as useful idiots to break down the social norms which once made America and Western society at large as successful, creative, stable, productive, willing to throw itself at the Axis powers and face off the threat of communist tyranny (you know, the “duty to protect” doctrine of Susan Powers and President Obeyme which drew us into the mix in sandboxes all over the middle east but not Korea, Cuba, Venezuela or other socialist hellholes all over the globe because they were already where the left wanted to direct us), and could be counted on to counter islamic jihad until recently.

“Break it all down, left is right, right is left, up is down, down is up” to paraphrase Van Jones’s Marxist doctrine. Or see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEKs2_LdcCU

Proud to be part of the “Normal Majority.”

I didn't say there was no fraud, I just don't believe Obama would have lost without it.

And you didn’t get the part concerning the half of all voters that didn’t vote?

I don't disagree with you on that point.

And God never assigned states to be moral police on the order of churches.

Have you read the Old Testament?

Yup. And they wonder why one candidate is skyrocketing in the polls, while the other one is plummeting like a paralyzed falcon.

I am mindful of Godwin’s Law and often shy from pressing the logic an argument to the limits for fear of being accused of hyperbole. But there are times it is appropriate to do so. This may be one of them. Orwell was scratching at something in the Two Minute Hate that is all too common in totalitarian systems. The greater the crime, or the bigger the lie, the more important it is to make everyone complicit. This is why the left loves show trials and elaborate public savaging of dissenters. It is symptomatic of bad faith. Those conscious of the lie are often the most vocal in demanding assent. The purpose is indeed as the article suggests: to compromise and demoralize the opposition, isolate truth tellers, and crush any institution that might provide a bulwark against the liars. And we are drifting deep into totalitarian territory, where one will not be allowed to stand aside, or carve out a safe refuge, or retreat to a sane counterculture. The left’s intent is that there will be nowhere to go. You will obey. Or be destroyed.

Exactly. This non-issue should be ignored. We face much greater concerns in this election process than where to pee.

So when a naked, mentally ill boy walks into your 15 year old daughter's locker room and insists on sharing the shower, will you fight back then?

And how, if you yield on the underlying principle now? This isn't just about bathrooms.

“I didn’t say there was no fraud, I just don’t believe Obama would have lost without it.”

There’s where we differ then: on the amount of voter fraud.

No way to prove it one way or the other, without access.

Unfortunately, that’s politics. They all score points that way. That’s reality.

And of course we have to prioritize, and yes it was a gotcha question. By now, Trump should know they’re coming and have at the ready something to neutralize it, something along the lines of what you mentioned, that it’s a distraction and he’ll not get caught up in it (that would work for a lot of the gotchas).

Instead, he made a point of saying that the NC law wasn’t necessary. Apparently NC felt it was necessary.

He also said it would be discriminatory to build bathrooms to accommodate them. What’s that all about?

It may be costly and a hardship, but saying it’s discrimination is PC - which is the one thing I always count on him being, un-PC. Wish he’d thought it out better.

Discriminatory towards businesses owners.

Does that apply to Ted Cruz?

God commands us to love even the worse of sinners and prayer for their conversion to Christ. It does not mean you can like them. I have had my issues with Cruz.
