Ann Coulter: I hate the new Trump
The Hill ^ | 4/22/16 | Caitlin Yilek

Posted on 04/23/2016 5:02:16 AM PDT by markomalley

Conservative commentator Ann Coulter, a staunch supporter of Donald Trump, “hates” the new Trump.

Coulter tweeted Friday that she wishes “Trump would go back to retweeting juvenile photos of Heidi Cruz.”

“I hate the new Manafort and Black Trump,” she added.

Trump’s convention manager Paul Manafort on Thursday told members of the Republican National Committee that the GOP presidential front-runner is “evolving.” “The negatives will come down, the image is going to change,” Manafort said.

Trump hired Manafort weeks ago to oversee the campaign’s delegate efforts. He has since been promoted to convention manager.

Once a regular on the Sunday morning talk shows, Trump has been noticeably absent since Manafort was hired.

However, with Twitter, it’s straight from the fevered brain to the Interwebs.

That's a sobering thought, T-C.

Indeed. One might ask oneself, “What kind of embarassing things will I tweet if I have one more drink?” and then decide it’s safer just to go to bed.

to be fair... it was a retweet. I actually thought it was hilarious. The race between Trump and Hillary will be won on enthusiasm. Hill’s supporters have none for her... A portion of the Bernie people will vote for Trump.

I have asked the mods to pull my own posts sometimes—and they have-—when I posted in haste.

I try to engage my brain more these days.

I try to think a little more before posting, myself.

I thought I was the only one that did that.

If Trump goes vanilla and cuts out all the slanderous juvenile Tweeting, starts behaving in a more PC way to appear more Presidential, will the Trump supporters (like Ann) stay with him?

The flip side question...will the pro-Cruz folks (like me) start to think more positively about the Donald and come aboard if he grows up and gets serious about his candidacy?

These are interesting possibilities...?

I’ve seen your posts. You hate Levin, Rush and now Coulter and maybe some I haven’t seen yet. But doesn’t this give you pause that you are really not a “Conservative” at all? When you hate the good guys you may be on the wrong side of the fence.
This is not a personal attack
Just an observation.

Rush and Levin are right about the left but wrong about the right.

You're a pig, like your namesake.

I could see you shooting prisoners under the white flag at Fort Pillow.

Do people care at all what Ann Coulter thinks? I didn’t care what she thought when she was pro-Trump either.

Maybe Mr. Manafort should recognize that Trump’s ‘negatives’ are a direct result of a 24/7 media onslaught of vitriol, lies and half-truths from day one.

What do Mr. Manafort and Co. think the 'negatives' of the Communist Party's oligarchic thug-puppet (who Manafort tried to prop up in Ukraine) were a direct result of?

He also worked as an adviser on the Ukrainian presidential campaign of Viktor Yanukovych[9] even as the U.S. government (and McCain) opposed Yanukovych because of his ties to Russia's Vladimir Putin.[4] Manafort was hired to advise Yanukovych months after massive street demonstrations known as the Orange Revolution overturned Yanukovych's victory in the 2004 presidential race. [10] Borys V. Kolesnikov, Yanukovich’s campaign manager, said the party hired Manafort after identifying organizational and other problems in the 2004 elections, in which it was advised by Russian strategists. [9]

The man who cannot think will always he captive to others; in Trump’s case, to sundry liberals and lobbyists.

And to all his self-deceived supporters . . . Look at them all on FR.

LOL! He’s trying to keep his base as broad as possible - best way to beat Hillary. Cruz has alienated all but the hardest core of “militant” conservatives and if he were to somehow steal the nomination, he would have to do the same with some of his rhetoric or get crushed by Hillary. Trump has very little he has to modify to stay competitive - he knows that the WH is the goal and slavering rhetoric that pleases the far right and the “God needs to smite thee” folks will not play in the General.

“I don ‘t know about you, but I am impatient with those Republicans who after the last election rushed into print saying, “We must broaden the base of our party”–when what they meant was to fuzz up and blur even more the differences between ourselves and our opponents.’

Ronald Reagan

I would say that political operatives have to eat in non US election years too, so they can work for whatever campaign wishes to engage, and can afford their services.
