Trump's cries of 'rigged' system shifts blame for his losses
AP ^ | 4/22/16 | JILL COLVIN and JONATHAN LEMIRE

As his top aides spent the week gingerly courting Republican insiders at a seaside resort in Florida, Donald Trump was busy railing against them.

"The system is all rigged," Trump told supporters at a rally Friday at the Delaware State Fairgrounds ahead of the GOP primary. "That's why we have to win big. That's why on Tuesday, everyone has to go out and vote. We have to win big because the system is rigged."

I think that this strategy that Mr. Trump has leveraged from moment one of the primary season is brilliant. He motivates his supporters by getting them to believe that he (and they) have been cheated (this, despite the fact that he has a significantly higher percentage of delegates than actual primary votes received...

I imagine that we'll see the strategy emulated by future candidates in both parties going forward.

My hat's off to the Trump team for this!

Lying Ted Cruz had no idea that he was winning a battle to lose the war. “The system is rigged” meme is now accepted fact no matter how many times the village elders try to “explain” it. Elections without voters were Cruzlam’s downfall.

The system is rigged even thought Trump is leading with delegates.

The states do everything differently and they talked with Rience Prebus and if Trump is president he’ll change the rules in the States.
Sounds like the government getting involved in state’s rights to me.
Just what we need another big government mandater telling states what they’ll do or not do. We just had 20 years of that and we’re going to get four more.
Trump isn’t going to build a wall. The Democrats will fillibuster.
He isn’t going to repeal Obamacare because he’s a coward.
We’ll have pervs in our bathrooms, still pay PP to kill babies and a myriad of other social ills forced upon us.
If he imposes tarrifs on China and other countries they won’t just won’t sit there and pay.
We’re screwed again God help us all. We’re overpowered guys and gals and I’m too old to anything anymore.

Another story of Donald Trump whining about the rigged Republican selection process.
Of course, it’s rigged. How else can they keep their party pure? Surely not by allowing the rabble choose Their candidates. For God’s sake, that bunch might choose someone who would actually try to change the Culture of Corruption in Washington. Someone who just might try to change the way we are selling our future down the river.

But wait.
Is not that what Trump proposes? And really to a lesser extent, Cruz?

But we'll keep the Hildabeast out of office. And if Mr. Trump does ONE thing right...just ONE...that will be a 100% improvement on what would have happened.

This could be easily solved. Keep the delegates in CO and WY. Between now and the convention, put together a primary, for only those already enrolled in the Republican Party (to avoid mischief). Obligate those already chosen delegates to vote proportionally for the first two ballots.

Surely, as "delegates" they'd want to represent the will of those they were chosen to represent.

Trump is about to win 6 in a row where people can actually vote. Cruz has won 4 in his entire campaign

What they fail to point out is the delegate to vote percentage is higher for Trump because he simply has won more states. Of which, some were winner take all like Florida, or had bonus delegates like Missouri.

What would illustrative is a breakdown of delegates awarded to Cruz vs Trump in caucus and convention states only. Cruz has benefitted quite handsomely being able to gather delegates with very few actual votes in those states.

When the voters vote, he WINS.

When the RINOS vote, RINO wins.

It’s really not complicated at-tall.

It’s only “rigged” by the perspective of the common will.

His failures? On Tuesday he will win more states in one day than Affirmative Action Teddie has won ever. Failures? How about working the refs? The weenies who are whining about Trump’s “whining” are too dense to understand that. Ha ha suck a lemon fellas and get used to losing.

See. this demonstrates the brilliance of his strategy. Despite his insurmountable lead (he is the presumptive nominee), he complains about a rigged system. Thus, he gets his followers ready to do ANYTHING to right the wrongs done to him, to correct the injustices done to him.

Like I said above, this is a brilliant strategy and one to go into the textbook for how to run a campaign based upon being an insurgent. Really, really smart. Whoever worked with him to develop this strategy deserves one hefty bonus.

If anyone can’t see something smells in this primary process they must be plugging their nose.

There's always been something rigged in the primary process. It's the nature of the beast.

I wish him luck in reforming it, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

From the article; The "rigged" system argument is a convenient scapegoat, shifting the blame for any future potential losses and lost delegates away from a campaign that has been out maneuvered.

Unless Trump gets five outs per inning the system is "rigged", even though he's already getting four outs. Witness a higher percentage of delegates than votes. The primary rules are the primary rules, quit whining.
