So CBS news parrots Obamas line. But there is no proof that Obamacare and Medicaid have actually improved the HEALTH of low-income people. Insurance and doctor visits and diagnostic tests do not improve a persons health.

Good diet, exercise, avoidance of tobacco, alcohol, drugs lead to good health.

One of my meds went from $70/quarter to $435/quarter!

And that’s with a “gold level” plan!

Wrong premise. Obozocare was never about “healthcare,” it was about control. Why else would they threaten you with fines or jail should you not subscribe to their version of socialized medicine? Will anyone be better off in jail or having the IRS go after you for the sake of conforming? Nonsense! The IRS said they were not the ones to enforce this—they lied again. Wake up people, this is not what our founders died for.

If by “healthier” they mean avoiding the doctor & hospital due to $6K deductibles, um, sure...

We have BCBS....and are now REQUIRED to have a yearly pbysical and answer an asinine ‘questionnaire’. If we don’t....our rates will double.

I do know that many working people can no longer afford both the premiums and the cost of actually using their coverage. That is not healthy.

Note: be careful of the question is interpreted! A program that, instead of dispensing any healthcare whatsoever, just had all the sick people shot to death, would “make Americans healthier” under a variety of ways of measuring overall health.

(Such a program would also increase the number of people ‘killed by guns’ - and therefore further justifying their confiscation from ordinary citizens, even though it wouldn’t be law-abiding citizens carrying out these shootings. Making it a twofer. “Look at all the wonderful things this administration is doing for our country!!”)

Not FR correct but I'd say yes.

I've been insured and uninsured for significant times in my life but mostly insured and paying up to a thousand bucks a month wthl a 5000 deductible before O care. I finally just was priced out and went back to the VA.

I have always been healthier getting my care with the VA. Regular visits have that effect.

There is a real problem with the Feds forcing people to have health insurance but does the ends justify the means. e.g. healthier people, I think it does.

Putting on 4 flame suits...

The mortality rate has gone up steadily since Obamacare was passed, especially for whites.

I’d be very surprised if low income substance abusers are taking advantage of free healthcare, especially considering how careless the government is with their personal information.

I don’t believe that for a minute. Most have huge deductibles and are basically useless.
