Cruz knocks Fox News after clash with Hannity (Just answer a simple question, Ted)
The Hill ^ | April 22, 2016 | Evelyn Rupert

Posted on 04/22/2016 7:49:43 PM PDT by jazusamo

GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz lashed out at Fox News over coverage of Donald Trumpafter a heated interview with Sean Hannity earlier this week.

When asked on “The Dom Giordano Program”

about coverage of Trump’s claims of unfair “voterless elections” in states like Wyoming and Colorado, Cruz said, “They know it’s not true.”

“Donald doesn’t handle losing well, and when we loses, he cries and he screams and he whines and he curses and he insults everybody,” Cruz said. “So when Donald lost five states in a row in landslide elections, that’s when they began making up this nonsense about voterless elections.”

On Wednesday, Cruz and Fox host Hannity had a testy exchange over the delegate process that Trump has repeatedly called “rigged.”

“The media loves to obsess about process, this process, and this whining from the Trump campaign, is all silly,” Cruz told Hannity. “The only people asking this question are the hardcore Donald Trump supporters.”

Giordano asked Cruz “what the heck is going on with this whole deal here on what should be a home court for a constitutional conservative.”

“Fox News has got to decide what stories they want to air and what stories they want to tell,” Cruz responded. “I’m not going to worry about who they’re rooting for and what surrogates they put on and what messages they push. I’m gonna focus on my own positive message.”

But have you noticed Beck isn’t anywhere to be seen lately? Did Cruz finally rein him in?

Do any of you all think Hannity does hard hitting interviews on DT? Honestly? I think we all know the answer to that. Hannity might as well help out Trumps campaign as a volunteer..oh that’s right, He is tweeting out delegates names saying their Cruz people. Isn’t that Trumps campaign workers duty to do that? Balanced?

That wasn't a hard hitting interview. Cruz just refused to answer the question and he attacked Hannity for asking it. Hannity had every reason to be upset with Cruz's condensing attitude. Cruz is acting like a lib these days when it comes to questions he doesn't want to answer.

What a wonderful bunch of ready-made instant posters we have become. Name a candidate and get predictable reactions. Change the name of the candidate but leave the facts alone and get precisely the opposite reaction.

Instant punditry, just add candidate's name.

I thought he came across as as idiot when he blasted Drudge. Cruz is just mad because voters don't like him. He has been listening to Beck and the GOPe too long. He thinks he is entitled.

The Dude seriously is rather freaky.

Well said. And don’t forget Rush. Rush is all in for Cruz... I don’t give a hoot about Levin or Beck, but Rush being a total rat’s a** to his listeners has really been disappointing. I thought better of him. Silly me.

This used to be a Conservative forum.

How come most posters these days seem to be in love with a New York liberal?

If the US overall is dumb enough to fall for Donald Trump’s schtick it deserves everything its got coming to it.

Sad to see a country go down the tube this way.

Yes and we deserve to be winning again. And with Trump’s attitude, mouth and forceful approach... it is going to be headed that way.

People who allow the “he is the face of God and he is God’s prophet” type of stuff by family, friends and campaigners on the trail with him... are NOT by definition either Conservative or Christian.

Trump makes no claim to be God’s face for the rest of us to see. But Hidey and numerous others have assigned Ted a level of deity, and prophetic office that is unholy to repeat with anything but ridicule.

I was told yesterday that Trump is a liberal Democrat.

My reply:

Build the wall.
Enforce the law.
Deport them all.
End sanctuary cities.
End anchor babies.
Slap a moratorium on muslim immigration.
Cut the taxes.
Cut the spending.
Cut the regulations.
Cut the government.
Cut the debt.
Cut the EPA.
Repeal ObamaCare.
Get the feds out and allow health insurance to be sold over state lines.
Send education back to states.
Get a handle on trade.
Make trade deals in our own best interests.
Bring back capital.
Bring back manufacturing.
Bring back jobs.
Strengthen the economy.
Defend the second amendment.
Defend religious freedom.
Appoint constitutional conservative judges.
Rebuild our military.
Bomb the shit out of ISIS (and take their oil).

End political correctness.
Take the GOP head-on.
Take the media head-on.
Take the liberals head-on.
And win, baby, win.

All of the above on a shoestring budget compared to most of the 16 competitors he’s defeated (after they spent 100’s of millions of donor bucks).

No PACs.
No big donors.
No party support.

What’s democrat about any of the above?
What’s not conservative?
What’s not to like?

And I’ll add a few more:

Redo the horrid Iran deal.
Take a serious look at NATO.
Require our allies to pay more for their defense.

Rebuild the Reagan Coalition and attract blue collar workers by making America first again on manufacturing, trade, secure borders, economy and jobs, jobs, jobs!

Make America Great Again!

You haven’t been paying attention:
-
As conservatives and patriots,
it’s time to put bruised egos behind us,
heal our differences and act united
in the best interests of our nation.
-
Congratulations to our presumptive nominee, Donald Trump!

If you look at my posting record I think you’ll find I was originally supportive of Trump.

I’ve watched him on the campaign trail and grown less and less impressed.

In fact I’ve lost all respect for the man. I think he’s a NY liberal at heart, pretending to be something else.

I think he lacks any real moral code, and that explains why over the years he has used his money to buy the favor of liberal politicians.

And its not just business.

I know many businessmen who would never for one moment countenance giving money to liberal politicians. Because their personal code prevents them from doing so.

Furthermore, I’ve seen vile attacks on Ted Cruz and his wife Heidi that no one with any self respect would engage in.

As for Jim’s list, I don’t know where he gets many of those items from. I’ve never heard Trump say anything that leads me to believe he’s any kind of small govt constitutional conservative.

Everything points to him being your typical NY liberal.

When asked what were the most important roles of govt he was stumped and talked nonsense. Nominated education & healthcare as two of them. Not what a Constitutional Conservative would have said at all. Its obvious he just does not think that way.

He has said he doesn’t want to return federal land to the states.

The task in the US, the most important task of all, is to rebuild the Constitutional Republic.

Donald Trump has no clue about that task.

There’s no way I’m ever supporting anyone I perceive as a New York Liberal.

Cruz had a valid point about Hannity’s question and he did answer it. The answer went over Hannity’s head.

Cruz’s point was why should the media, (guys like Hannity) pick up stories manufactured by Trump and use them as talking points without really checking their validity.

Cruz was clear in saying Trump is upset because he’s lost a few states, and made up an excuse that the media (including Hannity) have bought into without any real attempt to check it out.

So he did not want to talk about Trumps manufactured talking point.

You may not agree with that point of view, but to sat Cruz had no answer is just nonsense. He answered it. I heard him answer it.

Hannity was the one with the problem. Too besotted by a NY liberal to even listen to Cruz’s answer.
