Cruz knocks Fox News after clash with Hannity (Just answer a simple question, Ted)
The Hill ^ | April 22, 2016 | Evelyn Rupert

Posted on 04/22/2016 7:49:43 PM PDT by jazusamo

GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz lashed out at Fox News over coverage of Donald Trumpafter a heated interview with Sean Hannity earlier this week.

When asked on “The Dom Giordano Program”

about coverage of Trump’s claims of unfair “voterless elections” in states like Wyoming and Colorado, Cruz said, “They know it’s not true.”

“Donald doesn’t handle losing well, and when we loses, he cries and he screams and he whines and he curses and he insults everybody,” Cruz said. “So when Donald lost five states in a row in landslide elections, that’s when they began making up this nonsense about voterless elections.”

On Wednesday, Cruz and Fox host Hannity had a testy exchange over the delegate process that Trump has repeatedly called “rigged.”

“The media loves to obsess about process, this process, and this whining from the Trump campaign, is all silly,” Cruz told Hannity. “The only people asking this question are the hardcore Donald Trump supporters.”

Giordano asked Cruz “what the heck is going on with this whole deal here on what should be a home court for a constitutional conservative.”

“Fox News has got to decide what stories they want to air and what stories they want to tell,” Cruz responded. “I’m not going to worry about who they’re rooting for and what surrogates they put on and what messages they push. I’m gonna focus on my own positive message.”

If you continue to support Ted Cruz,
you are fighting for a lost cause,
just like your namesake.

“...Rafael Sr. divorced his first wife in 1996 and his 2nd wife in 1997...”

And Sr. is supposed to be a Baptist preacher? I don’t know of any (evangelical) Baptist church organization that would ordain a divorced-then-remarried man as a minister. It simply isn’t done. He would be considered a fornicator, and he would have sullied his first wife’s virtue.

“But have you noticed Beck isn’t anywhere to be seen lately?”

I was thinking that on Trump’s side I haven’t seen Katrina Pierson lately, either. Maybe I’ve been watching the wrong shows on TV, but I haven’t seen her. Maybe Manafort is reining her in because of her history with Cruz???

“How come most posters these days seem to be in love with a New York liberal?”

How come the other posters are in love with a Canadian/Cuban 7-Mountain cultist?

Your accusations of ad hominem ring as pretty disingenuous, considering you accuse Trump supporters of "mindless hero worship", which is both insulting and false.

My God, how full of yourself you are! Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!

Virtually all of your posts are laced with such arrogant insults, misrepresentations, and clumsy propaganda technique.

It's really not worth anyone's time to go through and itemize your malicious posts point by point, but, trust me, your obvious, pathological dislike of Donald Trump completely overwhelms your ability to persuade.

All the eloquence and erudition in the world can't disguise your blind hatred for for the man, and your equally pronounced disdain for his supporters.

I'm afraid you're not persuading anyone to either support Ted Cruz or to withdraw their support for Donald Trump.

Ted Cruz is absolutely collapsing in the polls, both state and national. His support is disintegrating. Why don't you spend some of your eloquence trying to account for that?

Your flailing and conceit mirrors Ted Cruz's. At thos point, Ted Cruz's egotism and narcissism make Donald Trump's ostensible character deficits pale in comparison. Long ago, Ted Cruz ceded the moral high ground to Ted Cruz.

There's no need to itemize the reasons for Cruz's collapse; one need only peruse the various threads to be found here on FR, wherein member after member states "I was a big Ted Cruz supporter until ______".

Conversely, there is very little of the "I supported Trump but now I don't because ______".

The fact is, Ted Cruz started with overwhelming goodwill and support on this forum, and it has steadily eroded since Donald Trump's candidacy began. And, contrary to the insults, this forum is not composed of phony conservatives or low information voters.

It is Donald Trump and his supporters who have succeeded in persuading, and it is Ted Cruz and his supporters who have failed to persuade. Indeed, it is Ted Cruz and his supporters who have alienated many, such as myself, who once supported him as their first choice.

The trend is not likely to reverse itself at this late stage, and therefore you should probably pivot your analysis to start considering what went wrong with the Ted Cruz campaign, and whether perhaps your own vicious derogation of Donald Trump has contributed to that dynamic.

Food for thought.

The Revolution is ON!

Vote Trump

“...there is a new practice here on Free Republic to ban posters who declare they will not support Donald Trump in the general election.”

Then why are they all over the place? Even Libby Lu rears her head every once in a while. Jim Rob would never ban those people, as long as they “keep it clean” and civil. It is clear, though, that keeping it civil is not their strong suit, generally speaking.

“I do not have the “sensitivities” of a woman “

I’m a woman, and I agree with everything you said — times 2! I love the NY “mouthing off”. I love his “meanness of character”. I love, “bomb the HELL out of ISIS”. I love alpha males. I love the fact that it’s possible an America-loving alpha male will sit in the Oval Office.

By actual count time for 16 paragraphs (repeat, 16!) of personal invective but no time for real facts.

Correction: if I have misstated your intentions respecting supporting the nominee, I apologize and tell you it was not calculated but inadvertent because I confused you with some other poster.

Ted is freaking out because he is not only losing the Presidency to Trump, he has blown any chance he might have had at first being Trump's VP and then later becoming President.

And here's the real kicker, he is losing the hundreds of millions of dollars (perhaps even billions) he could have made as President by introducing Goldman Sachs (and Heidi) to an almost limitless supply of financial opportunities around the world.

Ted desperate? Ted is not just desperate...he's facing the abject destruction of his beloved career.

If he had been patient...and not so greedy, he might have had it all.

At least when Trump “whines” he has just reason for it - Cruz expects folks to fully appreciate his all-round genius/champion qualities.........he’s pretty taken up with himself.

Yes and we deserve to be winning again. And with Trump’s attitude, mouth and forceful approach... it is going to be headed that way.

People who allow the “he is the face of God and he is God’s prophet” type of stuff by family, friends and campaigners on the trail with him... are NOT by definition either Conservative or Christian.

Trump makes no claim to be God’s face for the rest of us to see. But Hidey and numerous others have assigned Ted a level of deity, and prophetic office that is unholy to repeat with anything but ridicule.

Bravo! Well said!

“Fox News has got to decide what stories they want to air and what stories they want to tell,” Cruz responded. “I’m not going to worry about who they’re rooting for and what surrogates they put on and what messages they push. I’m gonna focus on my own positive message.”

In other words, by making that statement, he does what he just accused Trump of doing — lashing out, whining, etc.
