It’s clear who GOP voters want as their nominee.

Senator Rubio said today he will endorse Donald Trump if he is the nominee.

As Bill Mitchell suggested – This is not something he’d say if he’s going to endorse Ted Cruz.

Well said. Rubio and Cruz are not eligible for the office of the Presidency or the Vice Presidency. And they are not eligible for any office where they would be in line for the Presidency or the Vice Presidency.

The assumption is that Rubio will be VP. Don’t think so. Does not fit what Trump wants.

Translation: Rubio is putting party loyalty above disgust for Trump.

Translation: Rubio wants to be considered for a VP pick.

Reason: He needs a job.

“Please Mr. Trump, no cheap labor importers as VP, that will take the wind out of your sails.”

Rubio as VP...very bad idea.

Give him a job in the Cabinet, that’s fine. But don’t put Rubio in line for the Presidency.

I have no doubt that Rubio is a sleazebag politician. I did not hear that Trump wants him as VP just that he wants him involved!

Rubio says he will support Trump if he is the nominee??

Is that a huge deal? No, it’s what every Republican should say about the nominee.

Is it a sign of Trump support? I doubt it.

All of us Cruz supporters here have to asked to make the same pledge and most of us have made it.

Unlike, I might add, the Trump supporters who go off onto some ramble about never voting for Cruz because he stole the election or some such nonsense.

This is as tepid a support as anyone could give.

I wouldn’t read much into it.

Although Trump would not hesitate to dangle an offer out there as he did to two fools... Ben Carson and Christie, who have been bought but not paid for.

While Rubio isn’t my first choice for VP, I could live with it. He DID consistently attack Hillary during the debates very articulately. He would be a good attack dog on the campaign trail.

Also, wrt to the pro immigration issue - I have wondered, based on some thread discussions during the debate times, if the elites didn’t target him as a fresh young senator. Said fresh young senator was perhaps overconfident in what he thought he could accomplish in being a bridge - and then, voila... there he is - co-opted and destroyed by the power elite with his hand in a buzz saw and tarred with a very difficult issue to live down.

I hope that is the case. But I don’t know. I’m willing to go for that as a possibility over Kasich. I could also live with Walker and Sessions

I said several months ago that Trump would pick Rubio as a veep.

It was not a compliment and I was laughed at because, at that time, Rubio was more of an enemy here than Ted Cruz.

I believed so because Trump is a master of expediency and will do what he has to do.

I hope Rubio still has enough integrity left to refuse to align with Trump but, in politics, who knows.

No president should have a VP like Cruz: so ruthlessly ambitious......so blind-sided by his thirst for power.

With Cruz as VP, Trump would need to hire a food-taster.

I actually have no problem with Rubio as VP. He’s articulate and he is fairly conservative except for immigration but Trump will be controlling that. Maybe even show Marco the light.

Cruz as VP would be a terrible choice as Trump would have to look over his shoulder for a knife in his back everyday. Plus the DNC will challenge Cruz’s eligibility if they try to put him on the ticket. Kasich is a better choice than Cruz but either him or Rubio OK with me. As long as Trump is calling the shots.

Interesting take, my Friend. i am praying for the Lord to overshadow this entire process. I DO trust that God is in His heaven and on the throne - with a Plan!

All I can do in my own little self is simply to ask that His Plan will prevail - whatever that is! I ask him to do what I think should be done, but then at the end, I swallow hard and say the words of our Lord in Gethsemane, “not my will but thine be done.” Then I trust that whatever happens indeed will be the unfolding of events as they should be.

In any case, we are in for a roller coaster ride! Let’s hang on! And hope for the best!

Methinks, The Trump team is talking with the Rubio team about many interesting things....we shall see!!! If Trump were to select Rubio as his VP running mate.....it almost makes it certain that in the general election, Trump/Rubio wins Florida, Texas, Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, and, possibly California. Let me say goodby to both Ted Cruz & John Kasich. After next week, these two losers will be living in the cesspool of obscurity, forever!!!

IMHO....Hillary Clinton is a seriouly weak & flawed candidate on many fronts and the “woman” issue is not in serious play this election cycle!!! We shal see!!! Go DONALD J. TRUMP!!!

Rubio wouldn’t be a bad vp pick. Relatively conservative. Likable. Young. Hispanic. Knows the Washington system.
