I disagree with most here on this topic. I feel that if someone has done their time (both jail time AND probation/parole periods) then I don't see why they shouldn't have rights restored. If they re-offend, then start over again and earn the rights back.
I think anyone who is currently staying out of trouble, paying taxes and now contributing to society they should have the right to vote.
