There was, called Under the Cherry Moon. I never saw either of them. I think there was another one called Graffiti Bridge.

Please, Freepers, lets not make jokes or speak ill of the dead. We are better than that.

significance and priority this nation wrongly places on celebrity and the popular culture.

And we can add social media. Thousands of tweets and FB posts. Everyone trying to one up their friends.

Thank you for your service, Jarhead. I have an old Army buddy who is a deputy with the El Paso County SO. Coming through that way in July, near tail end of 9 state, 8000 mile Harley trip.

How long has it been since we’ve heard of a celebrity dying of AIDS? Freddie Mercury is the last one I could remember.

The musical performances in that film are so great. Morris Day (and his valet Jerome) make you want to get up and dance.

Always love when Jerome would hold the mirror for Morris to comb his hair.

He was very weird. See photos. He was transgender and androgynous at the same time which is not a good thing.....
FTA: playing guitar in a flamboyant style that openly drew upon Jimi Hendrix, switching his vocals from a nasally scream to an erotic falsetto

I saw ‘The Time’ in Milwaukee in 1986...absolute genius. They, and Alexander O’Neill were part of the Minneapolis sound of the 80’s.
