You have identified one of the major problems with Trump -- he doesn't have a core set of beliefs and surely is not a conservative. He is unpredictable and is just as likely to turn appoint socially liberal supreme court justices as Clinton. His entire shtick is an act.
He already stated what he’s about. He’s a populist facilitator.
This happens to have proved highly acceptable to many conservatives because they know where the government stands and where “We The People” stand. And they know the latter is quite preferable to the former.
Trump has brought us a new political model. It’s up to us what we do with it.
