The Don-goose: Our Republican Rikki-Tikki-Tavi

Hillary Clinton left the White House with much of the country loathing her while also being fearful of her future political ambitions. It was well understood that her carpet-bagging senatorial campaign in New York was but a step on her path to become the first female president, and her success was followed with a sense of trepidation by those of us who followed the determined path of this venomous politician. It has been that way ever since, and now that she is closer than she has ever been, millions of Americans are hoping for something or someone to prevent this horrible woman from leading this country to further Democrat designed decline.

Enter Donald Trump, the brash, outspoken, shoot-from-the-lip New York billionaire, who brooks no political drivel from any source and is fearless when face to face with his opponents. Trump used his twelve-gauge delivery to shotgun the stage in the Republican debates, clearing away those candidates unprepared to deal with this super-confident phenomenon that none of them had ever expected to be there, much less blowing them away with his stage-sweeping bluster. During that first debate, I turned to my wife and remarked that if Hillary happened to be viewing, she must be having some very uncomfortable thoughts about facing such an unconstrained political pit bull on a debate stage with the whole world watching. My wife's broad grin confirmed my thought that there must be millions of watching Americans who were seeing and feeling the same thing.

And that, all you clueless pundits, is a major reason for the Trump phenomenon: conservative Americans see him favorably as a non-Romney-type...

Yup. No more beta male (or, as in Mittens' case, gamma male) GOPe candidates. No more Republicans who unfailingly attack conservatives far more savagely and mercilessly than they do whichever liberal fascist the other team is running. That crap is what cost us the last eight years of Obama.

Never again.

NEVER.

Donald's problem facing Hillary is that his past political positions (pro-abortion, gay-rights, support of Shummer, Clintons, DiBlasio etc.) are aligned with Hillary and the Democrat party. She will hang him with his past and his hypocrisy and she will be right to do so!

The Donald is not a conservative and his past positions show him to be a liberal and an opportunist.

No man on this earth perfectly fits the bill for Republican candidate but we know Cruz's record and past tells us that he is a true conservative!

Let the flames begin! LOL!!

America may be stunned by Trump’s first debate with his friend Hillary.
The woman sat in the front row of his most recent wedding! Are we supposed to believe he is going to take her apart?
Trump has called himself a Democrat most of his adult life. He has been pro-abortion.
I don’t trust him.

I have an uneasy feeling that there will be an unexpected switcheroo, late in the process of electing a president this year. Hope it’s on the D side. She doesn’t look healthy, maybe she’ll be forced to quit?

And those who don’t pay attention will find all out as soon as the Primary is over and Trump pretty much reverses himself.

Perhaps you didn't get the memo, but the official policy of FR is to support Trump, who IS the presumptive nominee.

Perhaps you and your Trump-hating pals didn't get the memo:

The liberal machine that has been able to push Hillary this far has too much invested in their scheme to take a chance on the uncertain outcome of an election decided by fickle and unreliable voters.

After all - look what happened to Hillary if 2008.

So you can bet they already have the machine in action behind the scene, rigging voting machines, corrupting software, registering virtual voters, stealing mail in ballots, resurrecting dead votyers, and placing their people in key positions in key districts to ensure the correct outcome.

Hillary is a highly flawed candidate - one that a republican should be able to beat in an honest head-to-head election.

But there will be no honest election.

Democrats know that this is Hillary’s last shot at the presidency and they intend to ensure her success.

You better get yourself updated. Trump already shredded Hillary when she tried to run that 'war on women' gambit on him, he bitch-slapped her about her sexual predator spouse and she shut her pie hole in record time.

And he has NOT called himself a Democrat "most of his adult life", you're regurgitating anti-Trump propaganda.

You ain't "wiser" yet.

Work on it.

How can she attack that which she herself professes?

Trump is a conservative. Statements he made years ago in liberal NY simply show that he’s not a hidebound ideologue like cruz.

Cruz would be blown out by Hillary just like McCaskill blew out Cruz clone Todd Aiken.

Cruz cant get people to vote for him in the primaries. How do you kamacruzies think he’s going to win in the general?

Oh yeah, some hypothetical poll, 6 months out.

FREEPER BEAUTIFUL GRACIIOUS SKIES POSTED: "Cruz has made a mockery of ethical conservative behavior---rigging election outcomes, scheming to poach delegates....and now conniving to rig the convention rules in his favor. At the same time he's posing as a Christian. Cruz's blind ambition has made him oblivious to the fact that America is watching. His scheming is not going to be met with acceptance.....there are likely quite a few Christians who wished they never sent Cruz a nickel or gave him their vote."

So even if they don't like Trump, the Republican Party would be stupid to throw in with whackjob Cruz and his shady shenanigans. They're not in good standing now w/ the electorate, but the GOP would be forever tarnished by associating w/ lowlife Cruz in full view of American voters.

I agree with Jim Rob. Cruz is a weak sister, a good talker, and an opportunist. I do not trust him.

No matter what Donald Trump did in the past, he is the only one worried about the direction America is headed at this time. He think he can turn our country around, where Americans will find work, bring manufacturing back. In this day of so many college graduates, they cannot find work. They do not have a fallback position. College is nice and sounds good, but can that college graduate fix a plumbing problem, plane a piece of lumber and other “plain” jobs? We have businesses crying for help and unable to fill a position.

The money quote in this piece:
With Donald Trump, for the very first time, American conservatives will have a clever, determined, and fearless mongoose going after this Clinton cobra – this dark, menacing thing that has been slithering through the tall weeds of American politics for three decades now.

Neither Cruz nor Kasich has the gonads to confront the Hildebeast the way that Trump has demonstrated he can. Cruz will put half the country to sleep with his debating points and the other half will be turned away by his sanctimonious revival meeting demeanor. Kasich, or any other GOPe beta male, will just belly up and allow The Beast to say whatever she wants in order to appear fair and non-mysogonistic.
