Stone: Even If Trump Wins 1,237 Delegates, Cruz Could Use "Procedural" Means To take...
RealClear Politics ^ | April 20, 2016 | Tim Haines

Trump strategist Roger Stone tells NJ 101.5 radio that even if Donald Trump wins a majority of pledged delegates to the Republican convention, Cruz will utilize "Trojan horse" delegates (who are bound to vote for Trump only on the first RNC nomination ballot) to vote on "procedural" matters in the Rules Committee or Credentials committee to block or disallow certain votes.

ROGER STONE: Unfortunately just because Donald Trump gets the 1,237 [delegates needed to win], doesn't mean we aren't going to have a brokered convention. My sources, who are pretty good in the Republican Party, indicate to me that Ted Cruz intends to work a "rules strategy" to try to euchre this nomination away from Donald Trump.

In kind of a shady, using political trickery and so on, utilizing these Trojan Delegates we have been talking about -- Where Trump delegates, from the results of the primary -- those seats are filled with non-Trump voters, non-Trump supporters who will vote against Trump on procedural issues in either rules or credentials that could be used to take away his majority.

Cruz was Tracy Flick when he was at Princeton and Harvard Law. That’s why he was so universally disliked by classmates.

Being a gazillionaire doesn’t stiffle Gore’s internal bitterness that he never got to be President.

If Cruz uses procedural trickery to keep Trump from being nominated even when he has more than the 1237 votes necessary then he will destroy the party and hand the election to Clinton. I’m not sure that I’d be all that broken up over the first part but I would sure hate to see the second.

Stone is broadcasting all of the available tricks that Cruz may try to pull to steal the nomination from Trump. He wants the voters and surrogates to know what is possible.

Cruz is meeting right now with the committee and I’m sure Stone knows people on that committee who will let him know what transpires.

Cruz doesn’t need Roger to make him look shifty, he’s quite capable on his own. Both men are equally slick, except that Stone never pretended to wear a halo. Cruz makes Stone look good.

Mere words cannot adequately describe how terrifyingly easy I find that to believe. ;)

As a Cruz supporter, I say, “Don’t do it Ted.”

As a Trump supporter, I say thank you. This is madness. I just wish I could figure out his motivation for his behavior. Self-ambition is one thing, but when self-ambition is so obviously accompanied by irrational behavior, an inability to accurately interpret one's surroundings, and sure-fire political self-suicide, it becomes more than a little troubling.

You likely disagree, but I've been saying for weeks he either has some serious mental issues or we're being set up for election theft by the GOPe. Someone ping me when we have definitive proof of either one.

Relax.. it’s Roger Stone. He talks up this kind of crap whenever he goes off his meds.

But it frenzies up the asylum.

There’s no procedural means planned or contemplated by anyone. Trump gets the 1237 he’s the nominee no questions asked.

If that does happen, then there will be problems but I’m confident it won’t. Just because Stone says so, doesn’t make it so

The Colorado vote resulted in .06% of republicans choosing the delegates.
The CO Governor announce they will fund a primary election in 2020.

The Wyoming vote resulted in .03% of republicans choosing delegates.
Caucus goers are complaining to the press about being cheated out of an election where they know their choice counted.

These manipulations are not being ignored. And you should add Maine to the list of states that are being investigating.

First of all I don’t consider Roger Stone a reliable source on what day of the week it s let alone the opposing campaign Having said that, and I am no Trump fan, if Trump has 1237 delegates headed into Cleveland he should win on the first ballot without controversy and those of us who can’t stand him will have to decide how big a clothespin it will take yo hold our nose on election day

It’s pure blind ambition that is not tempered by any form of humbleness that Christians strive to possess. Happens to lots of men in politics & Hillary.

I hate to break it to you but the base is already fractured. The behavior of all the campaigns including St trump has assured that. It remains to be seen if the schoolyard bully can switch gears enough to try to make friends with those he has stomped on

Preach, how dare Trump rely on people actually voting for him? The nerve! The right way to do it, the Cruz way, is to have the establishment give them to you!

Sheesh, when will the peons learn?

Sunshine darling, sunshine.

Stone exposes the light on Ted. And Ted is meeting today with the RNC rules committee to try and make this happen. It’s a fact!

The truth about St. Ted the Pious One is that he reeks like a skunk.

Roger busTed him again and I hope he keeps doing it.

I voted for Cruz in the primary...but if Trump gets 1237...and it’s hijacked...Cruz would not get my vote out of protest.
