Our fiat, unbacked currency is purely a political invention. This is perfect evidence of it.

I guess the silver lining for Jackson is he despised the bankers and fought them tooth and nail to not let them be in charge of the US currency, so putting him on the $20 was there way of saying we won in the end.

I will not use or accept this Obama money.

Worthy of a medal and recognition at the time, but not exactly reaching the level of Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, or Lincoln, or.. heck even Roosevelt ! in historical importance.
Put Roosevelt on the $20 and put tubman on the dime! then when I have a bunch of change I dont want I can throw both Lincoln and Tubman into a jar!
LOL

Hamilton was born in the Carribean. He couldn’t be President back then because “Natural Born Citizen” had a much different meaning. There were even some people that thought Jackson’s mother was Canadian and he shouldn’t qualify as “Natural Born.” What a long way we’ve come since then...

This is an outrage.
The portrait on the $20 bill or any other bill should not be changed at all.
The treasury has already mode our currency look rather cartoonish with their recent redesign.
Now they are going politically correct with the portraits.
Will they soon replace George Washington on the $1 with Hillarious Klinton and Abe Lincoln on the $5 bill with Moochie Obama or Al Sharpton?

Fortunately, the NEXT President has the power to overturn this decision.

Hamilton was born in the Carribean. He couldnt be President back then because Natural Born Citizen had a much different meaning. Yes he could because he was a citizen at the time the Constitution had been adopted per Article II, Section 1, Clause 5.

That is a pretty harsh look that certainly can be triggering for people of color, reminding them of the slavery they never were a part of. I'm sure they can clean her up, like they did Anut Jemima:
