The Episcopal Church Welcomes You!
Affirmative Fiction: This will make the front page, based the correctness of its politics, not that character of its content. The retraction will never come or be buried by the obits.
“Person of color, vacate this residence if it’s okay with you.”
You can bet your bottom dollar......YOU LEAVE MY BOTTOM OUT OF THIS...YOU BRUTE!
Bend over and feel the burn!
Ten bucks says these two have already set up a gofundme account, to deal with the alleged hardship.
It can be a solid moneymaker for them, especially if they can get it well publicized on Farcebook and local tv news.
I have trouble believing that someone so upset at the idea would say I’m arranging a protest or call it an “anti-gay” group instead of traditional marriage group.
The two occasions I’ve received such invites, I just said no or heck no. I can imagine someone sending back a traditional marriage pamphlet or Bible verse, but not anything this stereotypically “homophobe”.
Once, I had to explain to the woman how it was blasphemy, so no, we aren’t coming, but this conversation was politely done as possible. I wouldn’t have interrupted the event itself.
For some people, the response would be to tear it up or ignore it. Few would seriously think or even threaten to PROTEST and disrupt the event.
Oh man this is such a hoax. The way it is written is such a total giveaway.
Drama Queens.
You mean to tell me that “Up yours” is not a fond reply to a homo-hitching invitation? we
Good idea. I nominate nickcarraway. Start a thread, then as everyone posts links or memories of hoaxes in recent years you can enter them into a spreadsheet with various fields that can be sorted based on date, location, cause, prosecuted or not, etc. etc. Then every once in a while you can post the larger list as it grows.
Here's a link to start the hoax thread.
Jimminy Crickets...they actually wrote a reply that said, “Love will win in the end?”
The only thing missing was a sympathy “Go Fund Me” account for their wedding registry............
So what???...you invited sane people to a bizarre ceremony and didn’t expect any dissident thought.....try inviting folks to celebrate an abortion and see what happens.
So they’re upset that they chose their own mailing list?
I agree. People are far too politically correct to do such a thing now, in fact I knew gay couples as far back as 1970 that were out of the closet and did not get hassled- some people would avoid them but no one said a thing to them.
No way would anyone do anything like this if they felt it was wrong. There might be talk behind their back, people would make excuses not to attend, but this is over the top. All these things that are over the top turn out to be hoaxes if investigated. This is designed so they can be victims, nothing more.
YUP; if somebody did send the invite to a “anti-gay group”, they would have said anti-homo, anti-fag, anti-queer group.
At least that would have been my wording, or perhaps anti-sodomite.
The fags don’t want to get married (except as a publicity stunt), they want to hump as many partners as will have them.
