A same-sex couple from Ohio says they received a hate-filled RSVP after sending out invitations to their wedding.
Keith and Chad told WOIO that they sent out wedding invitations to friends and people they thought were their friends.
About a month before their wedding, they say they received a hateful letter in the mail.
Hello Keith Alan and Chad Michael
Just wanted to let you both know, you have sent an invitation to the wrong people.
You thought we supported you as a couple, well boys you were so wrong!
Your invitations were forwarded to an anti gay group in Canton Akron area, they will be attending your wedding.
Protesters will be there.
Its not normal for 2 men to marry.
What is wrong with you?
Its a sin!!!!!
Some of your friends are only coming to your so called wedding to help in protest.
Like it or not, this is going to happen. This day is going to be ruined for you.
This is going to be a fun show to watch. You both are going to get what you deserve.
SEE YOU AT THE ANTI-GAY SHOW!!
The couple told WOIO that the letter was typed and unsigned. The envelope had no return address on it.
I guess we thought we knew the people that were coming and we didnt know that well, Keith said.
The couple says they wont let the letter ruin their wedding.
Never even crossed my mind I never even thought about canceling and quite frankly, other than our initial shock of the letter this made us both want to do it more, Keith said.
This letter we received yesterday is more of a reason to move forward with it. Love will win in the end, thats what it comes down to, Chad said.
The couple told WOIO that their wedding is on private land, so protesters will not be able to get in.
After news of the hateful letter spread, a local church decided to host a card shower for the couple.

And this way they don’t even have to register.
From a few years ago... about Elton John’s wedding.
Yep.
Looking for attention.
My thought too. That letter is too mean to come from any of the people I know
Very funny !
I enjoyed Leno but didn’t watch him on a regular basis.
I detested Letterman.
.
I claim fake letter written by the gays themselves.
Exactly.
If it was for real, how difficult would it be for them to find the culprit through the process of elimination based on the other RSVPs received?
I used to think it was only 95% of them were hoaxes but since then I haven't seen a single one that wasn't. Not one. You are dead on.
You can bet your bottom dollar.
Lost in a flood, I'll bet.
[[Westboro Baptist Church?]]
Finally, somethign westboro can do that is positive- go and protest gay weddings- the courts will protect their right to do so, just like they protected their ‘right’ to protest at funerals for soldiers-
Would be hilarious to see westboro commit themselves to going around the country protesting gay weddings-
But other than that westboro are a despicable group of people
Well, the picture from the article appears to show an envelope under the letter. The envelope has the bar code across the bottom that the Post Office uses these days, but the recipient address and any stamp/cancellation is not shown.
Unicorn poop. I think some folks have found a way to cash in. Their attempt, however, is piss poor. Can they possibly be any more obvious?
Hey, we have been watching re-runs of Jonny Carson and it is a lot of fun. It is on Antenna TV every night.
Interesting to look his guests up on the Internet and find out what they are doing now. Many have passed away, some are still alive but as old as the hills.
The fashions are hilarious — my wife and I have a contest to guess the year by the width and of Carson's tie. Big fat and wide — early 70s; skinny and conservative, definitely 80s.
The shag carpeting on the stage is a dead giveaway that it is early 70s. Lol.
I don’t believe this. How many times have these claims proven to be lies?
Can’t be first amendment anymore, we’ve lost that protection.
“The shag carpeting on the stage is a dead giveaway that it is early 70s”

The clothes were even uglier in those days.
The only good thing to come out of the 70s was the music.
