I have no confidence in the court.
It was really the last branch of our government that I had any trust. That is gone.
Roberts sold us out on obamacare. I expect he will do the same here. This is just posturing.

If your pinning your hopes on Roberts to save the Republic I have bad news for you.
I don’t understand why members of the elites think they can set their fellow countrymen up for cultural suicide in the future, but that they and their offspring will somehow not be affected, not be jeopardized.
Are they so confident that their membership in “The Club” will pass to their children and grandchildren? That their progeny will somehow be protected from the fallout going on into the future?
Either (1) they do, or (2) they don’t care. If (1), I think their confidence is misplaced. There’s also (3), I guess: they’re so brain-dead they don’t see the danger.
They act like they think there’s going to be some escape hatch in the future, some way to protect their own while everything else blows up.
It’s the sort of thing you might expect if NASA or DARPA had invented some kind of interstellar drive technology that they were keeping a top secret, and the elites saw it as a way to escape the maelstrom to another solar system, a la WALL-E.
Why, is lying wrong?
You could ask Roberts the same question: what changed your mind in the middle of the Obamacare case when you changed your mind ?

Justice Robert and his wife engaged in a dicey adoption of two Irish children that they picked up in a South American nation and took home. Why? Because Ireland does not allow foreigners to come there and adopt Irish children. Quasi-illegal in my book. Illegal according to Irish law. Thus the Roberts could not adopt them directly from Ireland. They had the mothers bring the children to a Latin American nation.
This might be the point of the ObamaTrons blackmailing Roberts. Details are on the internet.
Roberts teed up a complete softball, that required SG Milli Verilli to provide a specific legal argument. Like Roberts, Verilli knows Obama didn’t change his mind about legality. Verilli’s non-answer acknowledged this, and the administration’s case died right there.
Obama knows full well that his orders and non-actions were illegal. His game was to entrench illegal practices by the time a challenge moved through the courts, so that undoing the damage would be nearly impossible, even if the executive branch was energetic. Good luck on that.
I predict that SCOTUS rules 8-0 against Obama.
