Actually, it’s how a republic works.
The USA is a Republic, not a Democracy. It’s designed, by the founders, to prevent tyranny of mob rule.
The RNC is a private organization, with its own rules, just like any other political party. It can base its candidate on whatever approach it wants.
Unsurprisingly, the REPUBLICan party chose the Republic method of our founders.
But to the underlying point, nothing stopped Trump from leaving important states like New York and visiting us peons in fly over country to compete, just like Cruz did. He chose not to, apparently because Trump is convinced that we are nothing but dirt.
Trump’s contempt of the little people in the little states has bit him on the ass. New York values at the finest.
Defending the Establishment by denying the voice of the people is pure UNIPARTY COMMUNISM!!!

The only people who should be allowed to vote are married men who live with their children and the children’s mother. No single people, no divorcees, no shackups, no widows and widowers. Looting of the treasury would be reduced.

Trump consciously chose not to create a machine. He chose to go to the voters and tell them what he thinks the next President should do, and let the voters vote.
More worried about the Cruz shenanigans reported with his name twice on ballots and some friends of his calling off a regular election because they would probably lose the vote of the people.

We should not alter the standard set for nominating a candidate. Whoever receives a majority of the delegate vote at the RNConvention should be the nominee. Period.
There is no standard there are 50 states and a few territories and every one is different.
But allowing media liberals to coronate a nominee is great?
