Rules keep some voters out of New York primary
Chicago Tribune ^ | 4/17/16

As New York prepares for its most meaningful presidential primary in decades, some of the candidates' most passionate supporters are finding out they will be spending Election Day on the sidelines.

Under state rules, only registered Democrats can vote in Tuesday's Democratic primary. And only registered Republicans can vote in the GOP contest.

As for the 3.2 million New Yorkers registered with no party or a minor one, they are out of luck if they want to influence the outcome of the Democratic or Republican races. The deadline to switch to one of the two majors for the purpose of voting in the primary passed without fanfare back in October.

Another move by that lying, cheating, adulterous, vote-stealin, delegate-poachin Canadian double agent. He is working with the globalist banking cartel on Wall Street to steal the election from Mr. Trump before it even happened.

The New York primary needs to be immediately ruled null and void since it is going to be stolen by the Canadian and his girlfriend, the Hildabeast.

All the delegates need to be immediately awarded to Mr. Trump and the Socialist. From both parties!

Go Trump!!!!!

Every State has set the RULES for their process. Don;t know what is fraud about this. Ted Cruz fares WELL in states when voters can;t cross over. He ought to show well in the New York primary. Can;t wait.

Rules are rules. The only reason Trump is ahead is that Dems voted for him in big numbers in “open primary” states.

NY isn’t one of them, so he’s actually got to prove that he’s - well, not conservative - but at least a Republican. Which, of course, he is not.

Get a life. Cruz didn't make those rules. The State of New York did. SOP for a closed primary. Sheesh. Stop trying to make everything into a conspiracy.

Get ready to be disappointed, then. Cruz is absolutely loathed in New York. Even he has no idea how much.

He's about to find out.

He earned the contempt.

Anything that doesn't support Mr. Trump is a conspiracy.

Closed primaries lead to more Conservative nominees; open ones to more liberal nominees.

All the more reason to have ALL closed primaries, get the Conservative, and then work like mad to get him/her elected.

I love how all these Trump supporters cry foul when they can’t get their way and let Democrats vote for him in a Republican primary. Ludicrous at best!

Jeez...yet ANOTHER “VOTERLESS” Delegate selection state—just like Colorado & Wyoming.

Oh....wait...JUST LIKE Colorado & Wyoming, all registered Republicans can go to their local precinct & vote.

Wrong again...Florida, in a closed primary, voted Trump. He got more than Cruz and Rubio combined. Trump has collected more R votes by a 6/7 to 1 over Cruz.

It’s not your fault that no matter how over the top you go Cruz supporters don’t recognize sarcasm.

OH! You forgot that DT’s kids missed the deadline to register as......

republicans! It’s a good thing he didn’t run for the past 30 years or they would have to hire 50k registrars every time he ran so voters could switch parties with him. Great way to create jobs, eh?

He was using a little satire, but I’m not sure the American people can identify satire any longer.
