Trump Supporters Walk Out of Georgia Delegate Fight After Party Picks Cruz Supporter...
Breitbart ^ | April 16, 2016 | Patrick Howley

Posted on 04/16/2016 5:51:19 PM PDT by bobsunshine

Donald Trump supporters walked out of a delegate election in Georgia Saturday to protest a vote that robbed Trump of all of his slated delegates from a district that he won in the primary.

A Cruz-Rubio alliance at the district convention in Buford, Georgia helped to knock Trump supporters out of the district’s national delegation altogether. Cruz supporters implied that Trump’s people would “embarrass” the district at the convention in Cleveland. Then things got heated.

“This morning, I attended Georgia 7th Congressional District GOP convention as a delegate and a Donald Trump supporter. We were there to elect the 3 delegates and 3 alternates to the national convention,” Ronnie Kurtz told Breitbart News. “Per the primary results, two slots were for Trump, and one was for Rubio. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97% Cruz finished third in the primary and had no delegates allotted to him…Nonetheless, the hall was stacked with Cruz delegates.”

On the first ballot, the party voted on a delegate slate that would have taken away one of Trump’s delegates but would have, at least, still given him one representative. That bloc would have given Trump supporter Debbie Dooley one of the slots and a Cruz supporter named Carolyn Fisher another slot, with a Rubio slot going to local party convention chairman BJ Van Gundy. But Cruz supporters voted down that slate.

Even if the delegates are Cruz supporters, they have to vote for Trump on the first ballot at the convention.

you still have ANY faith left in this system.

maybe I ma missing something here, but we have a guy running, and has only won 4 states where people have voted.
Now how on earth does anyone think a guy who has only won 4 states where the people voted and is pissing off so many voters think he can win in the general by doing this?

it is at best delusional.

They HAVE to vote for Trump....because it’s a rule? Is there a rule saying the rule can’t be changed at the last minute???

When they attempted to destroy Palin - and in a way they did - I started realizing that their gravy train was the only thing that mattered to the people in DC - but this is just beyond anything one could imagine. Blatant - there isn’t even a veneer of caring about the voters.

The irony is they’re having to support a guy they hate because he’s all they’ve got left.

The GOP created a rule where they wanted to pick their own guy, deny the voters, and then stop who they do not want and they think people will not get so pissed off with what they are seeing and then they expect to think we will vote in the general!!!

Trump has exposed the corruption within the GOP for the average voter to see. Today a guy said he had no idea how corrupt this system is and how he is so angry at cruz for working within a corrupt system.

This is how the GOPE nominates Designated Losers like McCain and Romney.
The voters haven’t had any say in the nominee since Reagan.

Regardless of who is nominated this summer the Republican party has injured itself, probably fatally.

"The irony is they’re having to support a guy they hate because he’s all they’ve got left."

Half or more of the delegates Cruz games his way into will vote for Kasich rather than Cruz if word comes down from the Party for them to do so.

So let me get this straight, we have a guy running who, up to date, hasn’t won a majority in any state. He can’t organize well enough to keep dedicated delegates on the slate for the convention. He seems to think the game is over once he scores a goal and then walks off the field.

Somehow people think he can win an actual election AND lead the party much less the free world? How does that work?

Unless they replace Cruz at the convention. I think they brought Romney out to see if he would be well received. Nah. Then Ryan. They struck out again. Who’s next? Jeb?? I don’t trust the GOP and don’t trust Cruz.

The delegates are being stolen (via an "excellent ground game" and "deft use of the rules") so that the popular Republican candidate can be blocked.
Cruz is supposed to lose.
That's why Cruz is being given delegates.
The GOPe wants Hillary.

Jeb used to say on TV “Trump will NOT be the nominee” and I wondered why he was so certain. Now I know.

On another thread I asked why the charade...they just ought to inform us who the next distrubutor of our tax dollars is. Come to think of it if they get our guns it will probably happen like this.
