Canada-based circus and theater entertainment company Cirque du Soleil has canceled its upcoming shows in Greensboro, Charlotte, and Raleigh in North Carolina to protest the states Public Facilities Privacy and Security Act.
Cirque du Soleil strongly believes in diversity and equality for every individual and is opposed to discrimination in any form, the group announced Friday in a press release. The new HB2 legislation passed in North Carolina is an important regression to ensuring human rights for all.

I wouldn’t get too carried away with this, our governor may be Republican but he’s also a former mayor of Charlotte. Hate to be a cynic, but he’s not likely to make a stand for this, imho.

I strongly doubt that. When you throw someone from great height they make a splat on the sidewalk that is difficult to scrub off. But when you toss them off a five or six story hotel they don't splat much, if at all. The Islamic religious police pick up the corpse and hose off any blood and they are done. Either way the homosexual has celebrated his multicultural sensitivity and openness until impact.

You’re right. These are the people who would be the first to force a bakery to make a wedding cake for a gay wedding.
