Kelly has to be all in on this hoax, if you even watched a few minutes of her show when it came out she basically claimed it was a very violent assualt on the reporter. She went on for days about this.

Megyn Kelly has become the tabloid talking head for Fox Snooze. She had all the makings of premier anchor host and cashed in her chips in favor of Trump bashing. Oh yea, six or eight people at Fox were more than happy to jump in and accomodate this farce, but they are no names who have nothing to lose.
I predict that Kelly has gone too far (complete with unflattering hair style) and has reached beyond the point of no return. It won't surprise me when she comes out for Hillary. Probably a network change at that point, but she will compliment Rachel Madow nicely at MSNBC. Why, they even have the same doo.
