Talisker :" Okay, but still, what other kind of faith is there but personal faith?"

This discussion belongs in the Religion forum, not in general and politics.
Personal faith is that which someone believes in and practices .
There is a difference between 'personal faith' and 'doctrinal faith'; doctrinal faith is taught in Church, but due to our limited memory and commitment,
mankind selectively chooses which parts of doctrine they will follow, and those parts they conveniently 'overlook".
Also called selective morality, or, selective ethics, or 'situational ethics'.
The Scriptures are true, especially when they say : "Many is the way ,..but, narrow is the gate".
Unfortunately in both politics and in religious spirituality, there are many liars and deceivers, that is why it is important to have personal spirituality,
why ? ..because your eternal life may depend upon your decision as to which gate to choose .
In politics , your decision may influence the future of a Nation.

Interesting. To me, there only personal faith. Doctrinal faith is nothing unless someone chooses to personally accept it, at which time it becomes their personal faith. People like to shrug and deny personal responsibility for their church faith. Makes me laugh. Sorry, church has to be chosen and accepted by a person, then it’s their personal choice. That’s all there is.
