Listen, dumb a** - he did nothing to apologize for. He was protecting Trump - which is one of his jobs. She is the one who grabbed Trump by the arm, and Corey swung into action. You really are a dumb a** aren’t you?

This will get the same amount of coverage afforded Rick Perry when all the Charges against him were dropped.

-- The police charge the prosecutor decides not to prosecute the charge. That's the way I read it. It makes sense. --

The police can't charge. It is outside of their legal authority. All they can do is investigate and present evidence to the prosecutor. The police have discrection, in that they are not supposed to bother the prosecutor unless they have probable cause. In this case, the police were dumping off a hot potatoe (Hi Dan Quayle!). If they hadn;t forwarded the investigation, the press and Fields would have accused the police of plying politics with a crime. They may do that to the prosecutor, we'll see tomorrow or whenever the prosecutor announces his decision.

Or like Teddy isn’t a philander since he said that he didn’t hook up with those women?

She can sue but defamation? I kind of think a reporter can expect to be called a liar by to campaign officials. It goes with the territory and is called a privileged statement, because society has an interest in the free exchange of public views.

Michelle Fields tells Fox’s “The Kelly File” that she is planning to pursue a civil case against Corey Lewandowski for defamation.

Cruz said Corey should’ve been fired because he assaulted her. Assaulted was Cruz’s word.

[Michelle Fields tells Fox’s “The Kelly File” that she is planning to pursue a civil case against Corey Lewandowski for defamation.]

Ah, she announced this on “The Kelly File”.

Color me shocked, surprised, or something.

You are correct, even though it is by far the bigger real story -- one of false allegations. Shameful.

>>>I am not saying he should be prosecuted - I think the whole thing was kind of silly, and never would have gone that far if he had just apologized. But I am saying that a decision to not prosecute is NOT the same as saying he was innocent<<<

Guilty until proven innocent? You’re in the wrong Country.

Good thing Governor Perry didn’t apologize when the “trumped up” Indictment against him was Filed.

All those charges were recently dropped, but you wouldn’t know it with a Media that thinks any Conservatives / Republicans are Guilty until proven innocent. Apparently you agree.

How about you apologize for being wrong from the get go?

Well, for one thing she didn’t suit him. The police offered charges. If the story is true the prosecutor said ‘no thanks’.

I guess the fix wasn’t in after all.

Yeah I think we’re talking the same thing. “Charge” is the convenient notion and it’s used repeatedly. So for example in Criminal Defence Lawyer published by NOLO:

http://www.criminaldefenselawyer.com/resources/criminal-defense/criminal-offense/pressing-charges-a-criminal-act.htm

“If the police arrest the accused person, the prosecutor will review the police report and determine whether the government can proceed on the charges. “

I think we mean the same thing. But good points.

If my daughter was a reporter, I would expect much worst and would be satisfied that she would be knowing just what she was getting and the hazards of the job.

I have two daughters,btw. 21 and 18 y.o.
