This video shows better than any article about how the delegates were chosen...10 second speeches. Regardless if these are the rules or not, it's a backwards and ridiculous way to attempt to represent the people of a state. A regular primary is the way to go. I honestly couldn't believe this was really the process...but it is.

More impressive is how Colorado put this in place in 1912 in order to stop Trump.
The conspiracy deepens.
Lets not rule out time travel.
Cruz will do anything to win.

This was put in place LAST YEAR.
If Trump had won all of the delegates, I still would call this STUPID and out of line!
Why can't YOU and your ilk see that this is NOT the way to pick delegates?

If they gave them all 600+ a minute to speak, they would be there at least 10 hours.

LOL.
Apparently, if you want Donald J. Trump, you vote #114
Not to difficult.
To: FreeReign
But 114 did not appear on the ballot, but 113 appear twice though.....

Look you ought to at least know the Colorado party history. These rules were put in place late last year NOT 1912

I understand they could not realistically give all these people the time needed to plead their case. My issue is with the process itself, not the fact it was en stated last year, or anyone being cheated.
My point is this is not the way to elect delegate representation, with people getting up with signs and just saying please vote for me.
Primaries should be the standard, where everyone has the chance to vote.
People have families and busy lives, I’d say the vast majority of people don’t have the time to invest in the paperwork and fees required to engage in this process.

The way Colorado selects delegates reminds me of how the PTA was run in my local school district.

I was surprised that they had that many delegates running. They should have set the threshold higher such as by requiring 50(or more) signatures to be on the ballot. Then they could allow more time to speak. The organized campaigns would find a way to inform their supporters who to vote for either way.
It does take a lot of dedication to become a delegate (especially to the National Convention). It looks like Colorado was a 3 stage process. Those that can't make it would vote for a delegate to represent them at the next level.
Iowa, Nevada, and other states running caucuses would require a good amount of time as well.
