The IRS is struggling to ensure that illegal immigrants are able to illegally use Social Security numbers for legitimate purposes, the agency's head told senators on Tuesday, without allowing the numbers to be used for "bad" reasons.
IRS Commissioner John Koskinen made the statement in response to a question from Sen. Dan Coats, R-Ind., during a session of the Senate Finance Committee about why the IRS appears to be collaborating with taxpayers who file tax returns using fraudulent information. Coats said that his staff had discovered the practice after looking into agency procedures.
"What we learned is that ... the IRS continues to process tax returns with false W-2 information and issue refunds as if they were routine tax returns, and say that's not really our job," Coats said. "We also learned the IRS ignores notifications from the Social Security Administration that a name does not match a Social Security number, and you use your own system to determine whether a number is valid."
Asked to explain those practices, Koskinen replied, "What happens in these situations is someone is using a Social Security number to get a job, but they're filing their tax return with their [taxpayer identification number]." What that means, he said, is that "they are undocumented aliens … . They're paying taxes. It's in everybody's interest to have them pay the taxes they owe."

So what laws have to be followed in this country? It seems like Washington passes laws but then doesn’t have to follow them. If they don’t need to follow laws, why do we? I guess we only have to worry about the laws in our state.
This isn’t immigration. It’s war. Our country is being attacked from within and we allow it. Just wait until the Muslim population grows.

Doesn’t that practice screw up social security too? Are multiple earnings records being added to bolster some folks Social Security payments? Are they using the numbers to get earned income tax credits, which ultimately costs the US dollars?

Absolutely correct.
Anchor babies are eligible for food stamps. The food stamp regulations require each child to obtain a social security card. Easy peasy— then the illegal adults use their children’s social security cards to take an American job, while their kids feed the household of adult illegals, so they get to keep even more cash in their pockets.
Do you think the food stamp people check the child’s ss# to see if unreported income is linked to it which might render that “child” ineligible for food stamps?
Of course not. They’re children. Why would they be working?!

Social security cards should have 2 dates printed on their face: Year of applicant’s birth, and year card was obtained.
And E-verify should be required of all employers.
Better to cut food stamps/welfare.
