Actually, Colorado had to approve of the process.
I am still trying to hear the outrage of the “disenfranchised” voters of the state.
(crickets)
Still trying to hear the outrage of even ONE Iowa voter who changed his vote from Carson to Cruz because of so-called “dirty tricks.”
(crickets)
To Trump lies are loud while the truth gets...

Rush you can try to ahommitah ahommitah all you want but you are wrong on Colorado and you are a Cruz cheerleader that just doesn’t know what to say. You are supporting lawyerly fine print. Cruz is a slimy lawyer.

You should have gone to law school - maybe bring your brother on to explain in lawyer blah blah blah how Cruz was just playing by the rules and there really was a box for a Trump delegate and those who see otherwise as they view the picture as delusional.
face it Rush you’re a GOPe weenie.

Yes, Rushan loves to send little signals of contempt. Call Huckabee The Huckster is ok, because he is one. Calling Trump the Trumpster sends a signal that Rushan thinks that what Trump is doing is presenting a schtick for the rubes, whereas Cruz is always Cruz, and he is the closest thing to Reagan since Reagan. Cruz is actually the closest thing to Reagan since John Kasich, who was also a solid conservative when he came to DC. Boehner, too.

Rush wanted to have a discussion but the unhinged fool was a true Trump coward and hung up first.

Unlike most who hang around here Rush never bothered to work on a political campaign, volunteer or otherwise. He never contributed to candidates (his admission).

He didn’t bother registering to vote until he was 37, meaning that he never voted for Ronald Reagan despite having had two chances to have done so.

From the timeline it appears that Rush’s involvement in politics developed only when he found a way to make money from it, financial success being his consuming passion. I’m sure he that believes in the positions he takes, he just wasn’t interested enough to bother voting or supporting them before money could be made from them.

“Every great cause begins as a movement, becomes a business, and eventually degenerates into a racket.” -Eric Hoffer

Rush came along in the ‘Conservatism as a Business’ stage. Part of the Conservative Media/Entertainment Complex. His pals in the GOPe and the Sea Island Republicans are in the racket business.

I used to want Rush to run. Someone independent from the party, and the Chamber, and who had lots of money. But it has become clear that he was wise not to run. He could never have withstood what Trump has endured. He would have ruined his brand, as he almost did with the oxy. And he didn't have enough money as Trump has proven.

If Trump can't overcome the GOPe, it can't be done, and a third party will be the only way.

Rush is right about the GOP Establishment. They won't allow the people to have their say and they won't give up their control of the party to Trump.

[…] As early as March 9, 2011, Mr. Schumer joined Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican of South Carolina and another eventual member of the Gang of Eight, at the Palm restaurant in Manhattan, where they made their case to Mr. Murdoch, Mr. Ailes and Mr. Limbaugh in a private room. The senators argued how damaging the word “amnesty” was to their efforts, and walked Mr. Limbaugh through their vision for an immigration overhaul.

Least we forget that secret meeting. I believe there may have been some secret information about Rush and 'they' handed it to him and seen that it would end his career but 'they' allayed his fears it would not see the light of day if he supported Cruz and demonize Trump. Speculation, of course, but something caused a complete 180 on his previous enthusiastic support of Trump.

“I want to know what Cruz did to buy those votes in CO”

He doesn’t have to buy anything, he has the GOPe clearing the way for him right now because they are both interested in defeating Trump.

But once the GOPe concludes that they have prevented Trump from 1237 they will abandon Cruz. It’s purely an alliance of convenience.

Hmmm.

So, the Republican party is a private organization that only the elites/establishment have any say in.

That is another item that the Trump candidacy seems to be exposing.

But, full disclosure — I have always been an Independent (because being an Independent used to chap Rush and he would rant against them during the middle of the GW Bush years).

Nice little bit of triangulation there on that last segment.
1. Rush is on our side he knows the rnc is corrupt.
2.Rush is on Cruz’s side.
3. Rush is objective.
He’s pulling the same driveby crap again over and over.

Reagan’s turning in his grave being compared to Cruz. Ted really despises a good portion of the U.S. not just New York because their values don’t measure up. He doesn’t mind cutting them off because he thinks he doesn’t need them to win, he can weasel his way to the top.

Reagan wanted everyone welcomed to the Republican party. He didn’t want them defining the issues or making the laws but he welcomed them into the conversation. Because Reagan was not a self-righteous bigot like Cruz.

Unlike Trump, Rush does not want to make folks so angry that if they don’t get their way they will let Hillary win in November.
Trump is no conservative while Cruz and Limbaugh are.
You want him to lie?
Rush holds back calling Trump the RINO fraud he is because if Trump gets the nomination he is STILL better than Hillary and her defeat comes first.

Colorado history lesson:
__________________________________________________________

Yes Donald, Colorado Did Vote…On March 1st

- From 1912 to 1988, and since 2004, Colorado used the current system for delegate selection, with no preference vote binding.

- Even in 1992, 1996, and 2004 delegates were bound by vote, but were free to vote conscience on second ballot.

- In 2012, Santorum won the non-binding straw poll but Romney received more delegates at conventions.

- A 2012 rules change at the RNC required any state that held a straw poll to bind their delegates, Colorado chose not to hold the straw poll, to enhance grass-roots participation.

If you’ve been on the internet this morning, you’ve seen the scathing headlines: “Republicans cancel presidential election in CO…” and “Fury as Colorado has no Primary or Caucus,” among others. The problem is that this is not exactly true. Colorado only briefly flirted with a binding primary, but even then the delegates were selected by a caucus-convention system. From 1912 – 1988, and 2004 to the present the delegates were not bound by a preferential vote. This year was no different.

In Colorado, a caucus is held to elect delegates to county assemblies and the county assemblies elect delegates to state and district assemblies where the delegates to the RNC are chosen. That is how it has worked over the past four presidential cycles, and it is nothing new for this year.

....

Donald Trump, and his media allies, have suggested that Colorado fundamentally changed their caucus system in the summer of 2015 to benefit Ted Cruz. In fact, the caucus system was not fundamentally changed. What was changed was that a meaningless straw poll was not conducted — one that wouldn’t bind the delegates anyway.

.....

.... On March 1, thousands of Coloradans met at precinct caucuses. They elected delegates to the county assemblies. Those county assemblies sent delegates to state and district assemblies (conventions). There the delegates were selected. Exactly as they had been in 2004, 2008, and 2012.

Here’s how the chairman of the Colorado GOP explained it to Conservative Review, “The four step caucus process used this year was identical to the process employed in 2012 with the exception of the non-binding straw poll being eliminated,” said Colorado GOP Chairman Steve House. “The process was open to all Colorado Republicans and all campaigns had ample opportunity to encourage their supporters to attend caucus, county assemblies, Congressional Assemblies, and the State Convention.”

Donald Trump’s real fight is with the people way back in 2002 that fought to get rid of the binding primary, not Ted Cruz.

The GOP will show their true colors as soon as the election’s over. Their delegates, (and make no mistake, these “Cruz” delegates are party faithful in most cases) will vote to scratch Rule 40b. Then they’ll vote however they need to keep the ballots going until they get to their guy.

Cruz is feeding the alligator hoping it eats him last. But eat him it will.

The state of CO and the voters didn’t define the process, the party elites did it in August then told people the news.
