Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin-Abdullah al-Sheikh attempted to justify the ban on religious television channel Almajd.
He warned "weak-spirited" men who are "obsessed with women" could hurt female drivers.
The cleric added family members would not know where their female relatives were if they were allowed to drive.

The sheikh is known for being outspoken and in 2014 claimed Twitter was "the source of all evil".
He has also spoken out on animation films, reportedly issued a fatwa allowing men to eat their wife if they are starving and banned Muslims from playing chess.

Being in Saudi Arabia exposes women to evil.
First they want the right to drive, then they want to vote, and then the country goes to H-E double hockey sticks. But then Saudi Arabia is already a burning hot place full of Jihadists, so what could it hurt?

This is so wrong, it’s not the cars that women should be banned from, it’s the cell phones.
Well, if he’s an example of what’s out there for the Saudi women, I have two observations:
1) no wonder they cover up so nobody comes near them and,
2) the only danger of allowing them to drive is that they’ll all leave the country.
Is not “Islamic Cleric” the ultimate oxymoron?
