Cruz belittles Trump's response to delegate defeats
Washington Examiner ^ | 4/11/16 | Ryan Lovelace

Posted on 04/11/2016 2:42:38 PM PDT by markomalley

Ted Cruz mocked Donald Trump for "a lot of whining" and "cursing" over losing delegates to the Texas senator on the campaign trail.

Cruz told a California crowd he won "11 elections" in the past three weeks and said Trump has been beside himself ever since. The senator picked up scores of delegates in Colorado this weekend, which prompted Trump to deliver an indignant response on Twitter questioning the nominating process of the Centennial State.

"Now in response, Donald has been yelling and screaming, a lot of whining, I'm sure some cursing, and some late-night fever-tweeting. All the characteristics, I would note, we would want of a commander in chief," Cruz said on the trail in California. "And the latest thing he's seized upon is when people vote against him, they're stealing the election. It's a really odd notion. 'Well what is this democracy of which you speak? Wait, wait you mean voters get to vote? No, no, no. No, no, no.'"

Cruz went on to tout the importance of the upcoming Golden State nominating contest, and said it would determine the outcome of the entire GOP primary.

"I'm going to say a sentence that has not been said in 50 years. California is going to decide the Republican nomination for the presidency," Cruz said.

The California primary's 172 delegates will be up for grabs on June 7. Cruz is campaigning in the Golden State this week, and is making stops in Irvine and San Diego on Monday.

Cruz should have stuck to the issues. Instead he went on the attack against Trump, which is a bad move considering Trump even managed to shut Bill Clinton up.

I will still vote for Cruz if he WINS the nomination, but he has been a major disappointment.

>Is Cruz also directing his contempt to the 1,000,000 Colorado voters who were disenfranchised? Are they whining and cursing, too?

Ted Cruz 2016: Make sure they can’t vote!

Cruz is trying to goad Trump into going third party. The lil weasel is not going to get his wishes until both he and Trump are shut out at the National.

Since they never published those numbers no one knows I guess is the answer. Not even sure my first statement was correct. Cruz got all of the delegates so the actual numbers don’t matter. Since it was an underhanded sham then the numbers still don’t matter. All that matters is that they pulled a stupid move that has cost my support from this day forward. Cruz also will never receive my support.

Self-EXEMPT Cruz is self-declared HOLY

and Lords over the little people they dominate.

THE REAL DEAL:

Cheater Ashley-Goldman Cruz - the Choice of Tyrants

Because you have your Trump blinders on.

If "schoolboy taunting" is enough to send you over the edge regarding Cruz, then how can you support Trump's thin-skinned, lashing-out, hyperbolic, threatening, law-suit-touting, thuggery each and every day of the campaign?

Who the he!! says I support Trump? Surely not the Trump people who accuse me of being a Cruzbot.

I don't trust ANY of these grifters. Not a single one of them. Sadly, we'll have to pick one and move on (unless we want the Hildabeast and her pimp consort to have 8 more years in the WH)

Trump has great character flaws, no doubt.
And I had been a strong Cruz supporter up until the last two months.
What you appear to be negating is the fact that Cruz screwed One Million Colorado republicans of the right to vote in a presidential primary.
That’s a Showstopper offense!
That’s not a schoolboy whining issue.
That’s traitor behavior.

Cruz just disqualified himself as the candidate with better character.
He’s less trustworthy than Trump now, IMHO.

RE: “And this kind of schoolboy taunting is EXACTLY the reason why I can’t support Cruz.

Because you have your Trump blinders on.

If “schoolboy taunting” is enough to send you over the edge regarding Cruz, then how can you support Trump’s thin-skinned, lashing-out, hyperbolic, threatening, law-suit-touting, thuggery each and every day of the campaign?

Trump has absolutely no self control nor self discipline. The fact that some simple “schoolboy taunting” can send Trump and his supporters into a blind, destructive rage doesn’t reflect well on him or his supporters.”

"Is Cruz also directing his contempt to the 1,000,000 Colorado voters who were disenfranchised? "

Around 1,300,000 voters in Florida voted against Trump, yet Trump with only 46% of the vote got all 99 delegates. How is that not disenfranchisement of those 1.3 million voters?

In Texas, where it was Cruz who won the plurality, and Trump only got 27% of the vote, Trump still gained 31% of the available delegates. If Florida is fair, then explain how the Texas outcome is fair.

Rules cut both ways, and yet only Trump whines and complains when they go against him.

If you really want a fair process, then states should re-vote after a candidate with a significant number of votes drops out.

But that's impractical, and a big part of the reason for the delegate process... to help ensure that candidates who can't put together a majority consensus don't win simply because the majority who dislikes them takes too long to agree on who is better.

“Whining and calling names is a flanking maneuver? Who knew?”

Trump’s blowing it up! Look at the threads here, look at facebook, look at twitter, look at Drudge, watch this presser;

Trump’s blowing it up with the ammunition the Colorado GOP gave him! It’s so fun to watch.

Just like Cruz in Colorado. Amazing.

But hey, as I’m been told around here that Ted is super smart for stealing delegates and stopping the democratic process.

No, he did not. Your ignorance is colossal. The Colorado GOP set up the rules and decided not to have the people vote long before Cruz or Trump or anyone had decided to run this time around.

Cruz's only sin is that he was smarter than Trump and figured out how to play the system that existed in Colorado.
