What “voice of the people”? All those who bothered to participate for their voices heard.

I think you mean the Republican Party of Colorado did this - not the state.

See this Denver Post story: http://www.denverpost.com/editorials/ci_29563108/colorado-gop-blundered-2016-presidential-caucus

They never offered a valid reason why. One party official said they didn’t want voters to flock to their caucus...

Read that again: They DIDN’T want voters...

They didn’t want voters.

No, I’ve never read it. Can you point me to the clause that requires primary election voting in the selection of a political party’s nominee? Thanks.

I keep seeing posts about "the rules" and Republican voters need to accept them.

Does anyone else remember Republican candidates winning primaries and caucuses and then the delegates getting assigned to someone else? OR not having a vote of any kind at all and the delegates get assigned by the party?

I remember some such shenanigans happening with Hillary and Obummer but never remember such things in the GOP.

I know now that no matter if this is the way it always was or is the new way things are done then I am forever done with the GOP. I may vote for one GOP candidate this next election if Trump gets them nom. but I am done with them after that. I will change my voting registration to Independent in the General Election. The GOP can go F*** itself.

What “voice of the people”? All those who bothered to participate for their voices heard.

People showed up, waited in line to vote. Now all of a sudden, they are told about some obscure ruling which most people have never seen before.

The optics will come back to haunt the GOP into a third rate party.

When was the first presidential primary? Did all of the parties violate the Constitution in the 100 plus years before that?

Has the “voice of the people” selected a majority candidate?

The Republican Party has killed itself off.
Sure, nominate the hole Cruz (who will lose it all to Hillary); then the GOPe will tell you conservatism lost the race. We needed a moderate.

IMO let the GOP burn to the ground.

How is something where the public is supposed to vote end up private?
Republicans signed their own extinction with their moves along with Cruz.
Even Rush said this was the establishment backing one of their own, Cruz.

Let’s see, you have the actual Republican party in a conspiracy to defraud VOTERS and sabotaging Trump.

What could go wrong here?

But again that’s the process that the CO GOP chose, and it was in place for months before. Cruz’s team knew enough about it to exploit it. It’s not any different than a team behind in a basketball game committing fouls to stop the clock in a hope that by stopping the clock and getting the ball back after the free throw attempts, they may be able to catch up with enough quick breaks or 3 pointers. It’s not considered “abuse”’of any rule to do that. The same logic applies in this case.

What a load of crap. Basketball games don't have flexible rules that can be changed before or during the game to benefit one team over another. Your analogy sucks.

Ted is lyin', cheatin' hack doing the bidding for the Republican establishment. No true outsider would be working with the establishment to manipulate ever changing rules and taking GOPe donor money to thwart the will of the voters.

Ted can burn in hell.

Only GOPe candidate would play the game the way Ted is playing it.

He's worse than Romney and the Bushes combined. Only a fool would have any trust in CheaTED.
