HIROSHIMA, Japan (Reuters) - John Kerry will not offer an apology for the United States' use of the atomic bomb against Japan when he becomes the first U.S. secretary of state to visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum on Monday, a senior U.S. official said.
Kerry is visiting the city, which was obliterated by a U.S. atomic bomb on Aug. 6, 1945, to attend gathering of foreign ministers from the Group of Seven (G7) advanced economies that Japan opened on Sunday with a call to end nuclear weapons.

Look up the Chinese movie “men behind the sun” if you can stomach it. It is nothing but a literal and graphic portrayal of everything documented to have been done by unit 731.
You’ll only watch it once. Even worse is that the movie was made in China in 1988. Read some things the director was allowed to do that could only have been allowed in Red China circa late 80s. Like use recently deceased people as props. It would probably be the worst horror movie possible to imagine, except it is basically documentary in plot.
Watch that and then be amazed that modern Japan could dare ask for any apology, for anything.

My father was in Honolulu, healing from serious injuries on Okinawa after 45 days of combat. He was ready to go back to full duty, when they dropped the bombs.
Folks raised me with idea the bombs probably saved his life.
My mother spent the war years in suburban Lost Angeles, working on planes, with blackouts, etc. fearing invasion from the sea by those dastardly, diabolic japs.
No apologies warranted.

If Japan’s government was more Communist, Kerry would apologize right away.
We nuked Hiroshima because there was nothing left to bomb in Tokyo and Japan still refused to surrender even after we nuked Hiroshima.
The Japanese only surrendered after we nuked Nagasaki three days later AND convinced them that we would continue to drop nukes until they either surrendered or were all wiped from the face of the Earth.
Any claim that we could have ended the war with Japan without dropping nukes is laughable.

We missed a golden opportunity to do it again after 9/11. Mecca and Riyadh and Medina should have been vaporized with an ICBM. Tell me how the world wouldn’t be a thousand times better.
Unfortunately, too many of those in the generations behind us only "know" that the U.S. nuked a peaceful Japan for no reason (that and whatever Kim Kardashian tweeted last).
They should tell Kerry, “You must go now.”
Harry Truman would be considered too “extreme” for today’s GOP, and would likely be jailed by the 2016 Democrat party.
