There is a test called the smell test.

Yes, and these employees apparently did not use it.
There’s such a thing as being overly susceptible to authoritarianism.

A coworker once called the receptionist on an outside line and told her he was from the power company and they were requesting local businesses to close early to avoid brown- and blackouts. He was sure she would recognize his voice. Nope. (Or else she wanted the rest of the day off too.) About five minutes later the boss notified us that we would be leaving early that day.

“Police said someone claiming to be with the fire department convinced employees to vandalize their own store.”
Yeah, they’re worth 15 an hour alright.

When firefighters got there, they used a device to check the business but found no signs of the deadly gas.Well, duh! They broke all the windows out.

I wish I could have been there when fire personnel told them they didn’t contact anyone there. Priceless.

This degree of stupidity is almost incomprehensible.
Poor education? Obedience to authority? Genetics?
Nothing seems to explain it, except... hey! Could it have been a setup - an excuse to act violently - with the call made by a friend of an employee? That would be too depraved, wouldn’t it?

Ever since the majority ownership stake of Burger King was sold to a Brazilian company, that food chain has gone downhill. The Burgers aren’t that good, the customer service is terrible and they’re always out of something,,,ie) fruit punch.
