The backlash against North Carolinas law banning anti-discrimination ordinances kept going unabated Friday, as Bruce Springsteen announced that he was canceling a weekend show in the state in solidarity with those protesting the bill.
Springsteen and the E Street Band were scheduled to perform at the Greensboro Coliseum on Sunday night as part of their current tour, which continues in the United States this month and heads to Europe in May.
On Friday afternoon, Springsteen released a statement saying that he could no longer play the show.

He was blinded by the light
Shook up like a goose
What a toolbag. I consider his audience lucky, but I guess they wanted to hear ol’ marble mouth for three hours.
So Springsteen has joined with liberals, who are all in favor of transwhatever peoples going into the incorrect bathroom and locker room???
Is this really such an important issue for the liberals to shove down our throats????
The liberals are now all agahst about bathroom treatment of “trans” whatever peoples; this is the new cause celebre????
Or, look at another way, now that they have achieved nationwide homosexual marriage, have we now paved the way to move on to other pieces of the “LGBT” peoples agenda????
Springsteen just did a favor to the people of Greensboro.
Yes...the light in the loafers of certain guys
.
Wasn’t Blinded by the Light a song by Manfred Mann’s Earth Band???? Did Springsteen also do that song???
What can’t they jjust assign bathrooms by current.genetalia. It’s simple.
Or “Wrapped up like a Douche.. another runner in the night”
(Yeah, I know it’s Deuce, as in Deuce Coupe, but Douche is more appropriate at the moment...)
His band is good, but he sucks.
MMEB did well covering a Springsteen song, I’m pretty sure.
Maybe he should pull his daughter out of Duke and put her in a school that allows men in women’s bathrooms.
The answer is yes to all of the above, except for him joining the liberals. He’s been with them from birth.
It’s a Springsteen song from his first album.
Who knew that Bruce wanted to use the girls’ room?
“Bruce Springsteen cancels North Carolina concert to protest bathroom law”
and this is a bad thing!? WOW! Think about what he’s projecting.
Way to go North Carolina!
Those who support allowing sexual deviants and perverts into bathrooms with their young girls can all cancel events and visit to North Carolina.
In the end, having fewer and fewer of them there will be a blessing to North Carolina.
Not real smart here but whats the logic on this on.
These kinds of moves will give the other 98% a chance to research where that 3% aint.
We ill flock there,we being me.
