I started in radio in 1978, had my own shows by 88 and got out a few years ago.
Rush was a big part of it. I listened to him extensively, got a lot of broadcasting tips from him and figured out his broadcast style over the years.
As a leader he had to remain objective, fair and balanced. He lost that this year.
My guess is Hannity will slowly replace hims as the talk radio leader since he is still objective even though you get who he likes more than the others.
From my standpoint I did learn a lot from Rush but I'm learning things I don't like at this point.
I suppose I shouldn’t be too hard on Rush. He played a role in educating people about the left and about conservatism. But his role is naturally becoming smaller and if he isn’t willing to adjust to the changes in the political landscape and to his lesser role, he risks becoming completely irrelevant.
