GOP Establishment Money Funding Mark Levin, Glenn Beck, Erick Erickson To Attack Trump

The next time you hear Mark Levin on the radio, or watch Glenn Beck on TV, or read Erick Erickson, RedState.com on the Internet, you might just ask yourself who is paying for the message? And why is it so stridently anti-Trump?

Don’t fool yourself. They’re doing it for the money.

The Conservative Tree House blog exposed the financial nexus supporting prominent “conservative” pundits to promote in their media outlets Ted Cruz as the last, best hope to block Trump in Wisconsin, a state considered by the Washington-based GOP establishment as perhaps the last establishment firewall to block Trump from the GOP presidential nomination.

“These financial/media relationships have largely and historically, remained hidden,” a blogger identified simply as “sundance” noted in an article posted on TheConservativeTreeHouse.com on Wednesday. “They have sure never been publicly, clearly, and regularly stated so the consuming audience would know the presentation was fraught with financial conflict.”

David Limbaugh has been public about his support for cruz for some time. He’s down on trump and writes his columns to support Cruz. I respect him though. He was supporting Cruz from the beginning, not as a last resort like the gop-e

Mark Levin has had his daughter on his show, and often talks of his travels to see his children. I think he is a good and proud father.

In the Limbaugh family, I am sure Rush is the top dog on the totem pole.

I said he owned a lot of Limbaugh.

I never said he owns any of Limbaugh’s soon-to-be-declining radio business.

Learn to read in context, if you’re capable.

Again, you're wrong. Ailes doesn't own ANY of Limbaugh. Not a little. Not a lot. Not any.

Really. I didn’t hear about the wife or kid thing. I just know his reaction to the so called outing has me not trusting him. I know a lot of long time listeners were surprised that he had a fiance because they thought he was happily married. This election is really showing us who is who isn’t it?

The truth hurts doesn’t it.

Truth that you drink the establishment Koo-aid.

You are a hypocrite for Cruz. A big difference between a donation verse a meeting to quiet down the talk about amnesty.

That's not what I heard.

Try taking your Cruz filters off then. Rush was caught, he was embarrassed, his ratings are down, end of story.

If Ailes calls, Rush drops everything to answer. Ailes owns his attention, the two are ‘joined at the hip’. Without Ailes, Limbaugh would be an unknown.

Yeah, Ailes owns him.

All things must pass. Rush will be passin’ on sometime after President Trump is sworn in. Now run along and be sure to tell him I told you that.

You are full of shit. Not a single sentence you typed is remotely true. Frist, Rush's friends don't "call" Rush, because he can't talk on the phone. Second, Rush was already at over 300 stations when Ailes proposed the TV show. Ailes has never had a thing to do with Rush's radio empire. The ONLY person responsible for Rush's success is Rush.

Give it a rest. You are clueless.

And Rush is going to pass into retirement soon. He’s grown tiresome and he’s not growing. His missteps this election cycle have set in motion the coming of his final days.

He’ll be replaced by younger more dynamic fresh blood who will be more in tune with the new electorate.

Be sure to tell him now! He’ll deny it but silently he knows it’s coming. His days are numbered. But the good news is he will be replaced with younger smarter talent.

Right.

The carcasses of those who've repeated those exact words over the decades pile up, with nary a "new Rush" in sight.

Try having an original thought.

He’s going to retire. That’s as true as it gets. Now run along now and give him a big ole nice slushy kiss on the gluteus.

Don’t forget to smile now!

Yeah, genius, he’s going to retire someday. So are you. Since your Alzheimer’s has already kicked in, you’ll be first.

Yep and made a comment on the Rush thread. Other Freepers agreed with me.

I agree with you on the jealousy motive for Rush’s anti-Trump attitude. There may be, and probably are other factors as well, but that’s definitely a part of it IMO. When a real leader comes along, it kind of makes the pundits like Rush less relevant.

Rush has been considered, and probably considers himself to be a leader of the conservative movement, and yet what has really been accomplished for the conservative movement under his ‘leadership’? A lot of smug, self-righteous bloviating and whining. Not much else.
