Law enforcement responded to Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas on Friday on reports of an active shooter.
The Bexar County Sheriff posted on Twitter about the reports at 9:50 a.m., ET.

About 25 minutes later, the same account said officials were working to clear the base's buildings.

Soon after, the Sheriff's account said "we have victims" at the still active scene.

Two victims sounds like it could be a domestic dispute like the shooting at Fort Sam Houston a few years ago. I’ll hold off on calling Muzzi until I see pictures and the name of the perp.

From what I recall from living on lackland for almost a year the base security isn’t all that great. We used to step over a barb wire fence to go off/on base. Sure made the trip to the pancake house a lot shorter.
Like I said, it is more likely the longer they take to release details. The faster they release details, then the less likely.

Did my basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in 1969. Stayed after my training to be a member of Lackland’s drum and bugle corps. I have fond memories of my time there. Loved San Antonio and the Riverwalk.

Why is the Sheriff tweeting this information?
Reports are that the shooting was at Medina Base (old OTS site). Last I was there, it was training for Security Forces and other service schools (Marines).
My son works down there. I got more info that what the article has but I can’t give it out. Not yet.
I’m more concerned about dead Americans than I am about politics right now.
