Joe Friday not only would have arrested them, he would also have given them a stern lecture.

The lecture would have hurt feelings causing unforgivable micro-aggression and cost Friday his badge.

I live 450 miles north of LA and solidly in the midst
of good conservative people. Yeah, the libtards
control California but what happens in LA doesn’t
happen where I live and I would bet that wherever
you live, city life is also quite different than
life in the country.

I don’t blame police today. No support from their cities and under attack from all quarters. Aggressive policing is an invitation now for officers to be imprisioned by DOJ.

A good friend of mine, Burt Prelutsky, used to write for Dragnet (and others). He’s got some good stories about Jack Webb.

A car involved in a police chase came to a stop on a residential street in South L.A. with police nowhere in sight for several minutes.

“The high-fives at the end were ridiculous.”

LAPD Capt. Andy Neiman said the long delay between the men stopping and their arrest was deliberate...The men were in LAPD territory but were being chased for a crime outside the department’s jurisdiction, he said.

(Because)
“It was a nonviolent property crime…In terms of priority, you need to weigh all the circumstances,” Neiman said.
“The two suspects didn’t appear to be trying to hide anywhere, almost sitting and waiting. You could see them take property out of their pockets and hand it to people like they knew they were going to be arrested. It was sort of surreal to watch.”

The parade lasted two hours, hand-offs and high fives went on for about 15 minutes before a Sheriff showed up, in at least one instance a cop was apparently talking with the perps - before they drove off.

FR spends a good deal of time praising LEOs - as well we should - but please tell me why we spend money on this kind of burlesque?

Oh, I pay some mind to a few of them, especially the ones
who paint all Californians with the same brush.

Think about it. In terms of raw numbers there are more
Cali conservatives than there are total citizens in a
number other states. And, yet there are FReepers from
some of those states who take pot shots at all of us.
I don’t respond to all of them but then I ain’t going to
channel George W Bush every time either.

I talked to a LEO friend of mine after the chase; he was LIVID.

Black drives matter.

(From an article a year old)...

“The truth is more than 20 U.S. cities are now under a consent decree, meaning they have agreed to work with the Justice Department’s civil rights division to—in effect— reform themselves. The legally binding actions outlined are specific and stem from rigorous fact-finding.”

That is part of the Ocommie/Holder/Lynch ‘fundamental transformation’ and more specifically, the “civilian national security force” effort.

I mostly agree with you, but differ a bit because the local cops are now federal cops. I can’t give them the same support.

The cops don’t need an aggressive strategy to fall victim to a mandatory DOJ consent decree, merely a video of a white cop arresting a black criminal with force.
