On Tuesday night, Christians saved Ted Cruz.
The Texan made winning Wisconsin look easy, waltzing to a double-digit victory in the Badger State and all but guaranteeing that the Republican Party will pick its nominee at a contested convention in Cleveland this summer.
But Tuesdays result was not predestinedand it wasnt just a series of unforced errors that made the Trump Train sputter. The Cruz team pulled off a singular organizing feat, corralling a sizable number of Christian pastors for last-minute endorsements that helped shore up his support among evangelical Christians.
In February, Cruz suffered a tough defeat to Donald Trump in South Carolina, in large part because evangelicalsto the bafflement of manywere eager to line up behind the thrice-wed casino magnate.
In Wisconsin, though, that didnt happen. CNN exit polling indicates that Cruz beat Trump among evangelical Christian voters by a whopping 21 points. And moving those numbers took work.

And I read there was a lot of vote fraud, again!
What a deceitful person St. Lyin’ Ted is, and how gullible the people!
I think the past tense of smite is smote.
I heard there were tons of vote fraud.
Bimbo eruptions notwithstanding...
I heard you just make things up. My hearing is much better than yours.

LOL
Uh oh. Time for The Orange Savior to sue some pastors.
Good one!
Maybe the National Enquirer is banned in Wisconsin.
With a little help from the Republican Governor, Speaker of the House, RNC Chairman, and every media outlet in the state.
There is nothing like WI left for Teddy and his pastors to win.
There are 769 Delegates remaining in the upcoming primary states. In order to get to the magic number of 1237:
Donald Trump needs 479 to clinch. (758 current + 479 need = 1237 goal)
Ted Cruz needs 732 to clinch. (505 current + 732 need = 1237 goal).
There are only 769 Delegates remaining.
This, of course, is an attempt at three things:
1. To swipe at Trump and of course conservatives in general.
2. To define Christian conservatives as monolithic voters that only care about God.
3. And of course to continue the mantra that only Cruz court Christian conservatives.
It only serves to keep people agitated with stupid headlines like that.
Cruz is playing the role of the turd in the punch bowl, deluding the gullible to join the evil in the destruction of America.
cant wait to see the breakout of the 600,000 mailed ballots to see how they match what happened at the actual polls
The Christians better start praying mightily for Cruz because the background checkers not yet released much of their documentation of his past
the democrats prefer to wait
Well, Ted does preach sermons and wear the armor of God, and he does that hands up “beaming back at you” thing.
I heard you just make things up. My hearing is much better than yours.

I heard you are a liar just like Cruz. My hearing is much better than yours.

Ignorant one!

Or maybe the voters in Wisconsin don’t vote based on unsubstantiated stories found in the National Enquirer.
Adding “Smite” to the list of descriptors being associated with Cruz’s meaningless WI win.
Others include:
“Meltdown”
“Waterloo”
“Beginning of the End”
I'm not cutting down their "efforts" for Cruz in Wisconsin, but as this article reports, evangelicals have voted for Trump also.
Cruz took Wisconsin because Trump continues to shoot himself in the foot, over and over, in the last few weeks.
