Furthermore, I’m sticking with the guy with a PROVEN RECORD, and that would be TED CRUZ!
NO person is perfect, including Reagan, you or me, but my candidate is the closest presidential candidate to Reagan I’ve ever seen.
Here’s a bit of Cruz’s PROVEN RECORD:
“Ted Cruz ran on conservative issues like building a fence on our border when he was elected, he has lived up to his promises in the Senate and he has run a consistently conservative campaign. Cruz is also not temperamental and you don’t ever have to wonder what he REALLY thinks about issues like abortion or health care. Perhaps even more importantly, Cruz has proven that he’s a fighter who’s not scared to go toe-to-toe with anybody from the Republican establishment to Obama, to the mainstream media.
Cruz’s consistent conservatism mixed with his willingness to fight is why he’s the ONLY CANDIDATE RUNNING who can absolutely be counted on to get rid of Obama’s executive orders, kill Obamacare, defund Planned Parenthood and build a fence on the border. “

That's actually part of the problem--Cruz does NOT have a record. He is a first term senator, talks a big deal, but that's about it. He is as experienced as Obama was, and look what a disaster Obama has been.

Many, many candidates run conservative campaigns and forget every single conservative ideal they espoused the second they get to DC. Even a lot of Democrats run conservative campaigns. Excuse me for not being impressed.
OTOH, Trump has a LONG record of getting things done. He has already demonstrated many of the skills that are so desperately lacking, but so sorely needed in Washington, DC. Just because the government is huge when compared to any business does not mean that it is immune to the same laws of economics that affect business. But lawyer-politicians, who do not understand economics (or much of anything else outside of lawyerly obfuscation), don't understand that, and have gotten us into this huge mess. We aren't going to get out of this mess by electing yet another lawyer. We need a businessman.

As I said before, he talks a conservative line, but a lot of politicians do that. Is Obamacare dead? No. Has PP been defunded? No. Is that border fence finished yet? No. Since we've had Republicans in both houses who could have done these things over the last 6 years, I'm guessing that they don't have much will to get them done. Why would I believe that Cruz will suddenly want to do them if he becomes president? He's establishment now.
I used to not have a strong preference either way, Trump or Cruz. That is, I leaned towards Trump because of his proven track record of accomplishment, and I am confident that he will use that experience while president to start fixing the things that lawyer-politicians have wrecked. But I could have supported Cruz. However, Cruz has demonstrated that he is just another establishment type, all talk, no action. That is not very exciting.
