Reince Priebus Says Any Candidate That Abandons GOP Pledge Will Get No More Help From RNC
Young Conservatives ^ | 4/1/2016 | Andrew Mark Miller

We told you recently about how Donald Trump has abandoned his pledge to the GOP that he will support the nominee no matter who it was.

He claims that the GOP wasn’t fair to him and therefore that justifies him going back on his promise.

It has already been determined that his change of heart could hurt him in the delegate race which promises to be extremely tight as it is.

But now, GOP Chair Reince Priebus has come out and basically dared Trump to back down from the promise.

From Hot Air:

I’ve got the same problem here as I did in the post yesterday about Trump possibly forfeiting his delegates in South Carolina. Namely, what would constitute formal and final repudiation of the pledge sufficient to trigger penalties? If Trump says “I’m done with the pledge” on Monday and then on Tuesday says something squishy like “I suppose I could support Ted as nominee but it’d be tough,” does that qualify as breaking the pledge? Neither he nor Cruz are going to sign something affirming that they’re going back on their word, so you’ll have to tease out their intentions from scattershot verbal statements.

“We’re going into potentially — we don’t know for sure — but potentially an open convention. So the candidates, I think, are going to posture a little bit as far as what they are willing to do and who they’re willing to support and who they’re not,” [Reince Priebus] told Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren…

All three candidates are hedging on that pledge. Priebus can not just single out Trump, or the posters on this site.

The RNC is EXTREMELY DESPERATE and grasping at straws.

They know Trump is going to win, and now they are looking for their EXCUSE to hijack the 2016 Primaries from the Will of the Republican Voters.

When they say you better pick a better candidate or we will select it for you... Then you know our Republic is very close to collapsing.

They keep trying to lie to the public and pretend it’s normal to VOID the WILL of the Republican voter.

Any Candidate That Abandons GOP Pledge Will Get No More Help From RNC

Any RNC that abandons the will of the people will get no more money or support from those people.

Trump is to blame for destroying what little remained of Reaganism, mostly because the GOP didn’t defend it. But I think his chaotic mish-mash of native insanity, libertarianism and Democrat ideas may have forced many GOPers to actually define their ideas. So now perhaps the GOP will come back as a real party with real ideas.

Good evening.

The ability to control the rules committee, is the ability to select a candidate.

Why hasn’t Preibus reigned in on these Republican office holders who have publicly disparaged the frontrunner and made it clear they will not support him?

Ben Sasse comes to mind and Lindsey Graham.

This would never happen in the Democrat party—such statements would result in no financial support for any election.

Ben Sasse, a sitting GOP Senator, has threatened numerous time to support a “constitutional conservative” 3rd party candidate against Trump. Has he been sanctioned by the RNC?

Rinse is playing with fire here. Trump pushing the GOP destruct button on his phone will send the GOP straight to the dust bin of history. RIP GOP.

Something Priebus said the other day doesn’t makes sense as I think back on it.

He said, if a candidate didn’t support the nominee they would not have access to the RNC “machine”, including databases, GOTV software, etc.

Well, if he isn’t going to be the nominee, what use would he have for that stuff? Unless he was going to run 3rd party in which case it goes without saying that the RNC wouldn’t provide assistance.

His treat or leverage just doesn’t make sense to me.

To: BlackFemaleArmyCaptain; All
The Founding States enumerated the process for “nominating” and voting for a POTUS into the Constitution as follows.
”Article II, Section 1, Clause 2: Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.

12th Amendment: The Electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; ..."

So somebody please help me think of something nice to say about Mr. Priebus and the political parties.

that is a rather stupid announcement

the pledge breaking will occur after the nomination is stolen. all the needed records are already available to the various campaigns.
