The bottom is dropping out for Donald Trump.
While Trump was never popular outside of his loyal slice of GOP voters, a raft of new polls show his national position hitting new lows, including with groups that are supposed to form his base.
America's widespread loathing for Trump puts further pressure on Republican delegates to deny him the nomination in July if he falls short of a majority, a move that would set off an ugly civil war but that some in the party believe would be necessary to stave off generational damage.
A collection of recent surveys by Real Clear Politics finds, on average, 30 percent of respondents hold a favorable view of Trump versus 63 percent who hold a negative one. Those numbers are roughly parallel to former President George W. Bush's approval ratings during his final months in office, which set the stage for President Barack Obama's landslide victory.
Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton leads Trump by double digits in at least six national polls in March, even as her own favorability ratings appear weak. Using 2008 as a reference point again, Obama's popular vote margin against Sen. John McCain was just more than 7 percent.

Cruz would win after the first ballot. It’s not that hard to understand. Trump is not going to win delegates over when they’re free agents.
It will be a fun time.
From somewhere ... safe inside a bunker with steel walls that can withstand all negative information about Trump ... we hear from a trumper.
Electorially speaking ...it means nothing. That must be Canadian math you’re using
“Another reason we need to coalesce around Cruz.”

Ok. This actually made me laugh. haha
“I sincerely believe that Donald Trump cannot be elected.”
Well, I sincerely believe that Trump can be elected! My vote cancels yours. Lyin’ Ted, Lyin’ Hillary, two sides of the same coin! And although I think K-sick is abhorent, at least he can point to a record while Lyin’ Ted can’t!
What about the Rubio votes and all the other non-Trump votes; can they switch to Cruz in a Contested Convention?
Someone want to explain to me why FReepers who say they won’t vote for the Donald, are being banned, yet Freepers who say they won’t vote for Cruz are being allowed to run around still spewing their venom?
If we pass on this extremely rare opportunity to put a Reagan conservative, whom God has prepared for such a time as this into our White House, we will receive the government we deserve.
Bring it Ted...for the Home Run!!!!
Good question.....few who would risk answering.
I suggested that Trump build a large building ... he loves buildings ... make it into a mental institution, name it for himself and check in.
Maybe he should make room for his followers because there will be hell to pay for them now if Trump loses.
And Trump will lose, one way or another.
If he gets the nomination, America will lose because Hillary will win.
Four year olds just love to talk about snot.
Lol, the general election is not “looming” at this time. It won’t be “looming” until after the national conventions and both nominees are known.
All those states that Trump did well in were before Trump himself began to fall apart and self-destruct.
Only the most devoted trumper could justify or excuse his recent actions and gaffes.
“In short, Wisconsin is the beginning of the end for Trump. Cruz will most likely be the nominee.”

Your comment did make me smile, though. So thanks. :)
>>Trumps Waterloo is scheduled for Tuesday in Wisconsin. It will all be over soon dear Trumpkins
And then the GOP and MSM can start taking Cruz apart because he will collapse like a house of cards when Trump isn’t drawing all the flak. Get your Romney/Ryan 2016 yard signs now and avoid the rush.
Oh clearly it is all over. Let’s go home.
‘Cruzers are like The Blues Brothers, they think theyre on a mission from G-d, but in reality, theyre just following another foreign-born false prophet!’
Couldn’t agree with you more. The icing on the cake is how Cruz supporters sit around posting gratuitous nastiness re Trump and his supporters as fast as their fingers can hammer the keyboard—THEN they tell us to coalesce behind Cruz.
It’s all but psychotic.
