Ted Cruz has made no secret of his adoration for his father, Rafael, whom he calls his personal hero.
In speech after speech, the Texas senator and Republican presidential hopeful has recounted for audiences the story of how his father fought for freedom in Cuba before escaping to the United States to embrace the American dream. Rafael Cruz’s biography has been the emotional and inspirational bedrock of his son’s bid for the White House, and as such, he has been one of the senator’s busiest and most recognizable campaign surrogates.

I have looked at Trump’s history with women.
Trump’s ex-wives speak of him in a more flattering way than some peoples current wives.
Probably too hard for Hidey to speak, when she’s spitting nails.
Sampling the 3,000+ comments at the site for this story; they are decidedly not favorable to Cruz.
Women know that Trump on the campaign will be a lot like Trump in the White House. If he continues to routinely insult any degrade any woman who crosses him, it is going to an ugly four years.
The President has the unique ability to change the course of the popular culture. Just as President Clinton mainstreamed marital infidelity and established the precedent amongst American youth that oral sex was not really sex, a constant barrage of insults directed at women from the Oval Office cannot help but mainstream that kind of behavior in society at large.
People figure that if the President is doing it, openly and without shame, it can’t really be all that bad. Every woman who sees the attacks on Kelly, Carly and Heidi and knows what they can expect to see in their own workplaces if this sort of bilge starts flowing out of the White House.
They know that in every office in America, there is a guy, and usually more than one, who has sat through hours and hours of Sexual Harassment training seminars and has still not gotten the memo. This guy thinks that what he does is just fine, and is just itching to let his Inner Pig out of the pen. How bad is that guy going to get if he starts hearing the things he wants to say coming out of the mouth of President Donald Trump?

Mrs Submareener and I worked at the company in Arlington where the filmed the newsroom scenes for Broadcast News. We bought the water cooler from the great tape passing scene for our break room.
He’s peaked. Trump. He’s TOAST with women, too. Any women here in support would be largely anecdotal and wholey unrepresentative of the larger electorate.
I realize that in the traditional realm of “infidelity politics” and the recognized best-response for an accused candidate is exactly the tack that he is taking with iCarly, his mom, and his demurring wife.
But that’s the traditional, i.e., establishment political response and Trump has shown all that bullsh!t and blather to be exactly what it is, BS. It is all damage control and PR response. But in the end, those of us out here who have seen this crap for decades, for what it really is, aren’t in a mood to buy one damned bit of it any more. Not by a long shot.
Right now, the very best thing that Cruz can do for me personally is to act like a man, caught or otherwise, and stop hiding behind skits. This ‘best’ thing right now isn’t for my vote or support for the nomination; it is the decider on whether I’d even support him in a general election should he prevail and get the nomination. No more PR tricks and kabuki...
Yep. And if he was paying me what he’s paying his ex’s I’d be a leaping court troubadour singing the Donald’s praises too.
