CONFIRMED: Cruz Camp Stealing Trump Delegates from States Trump Won (VIDEO)

Townhall reporter Guy Benson today admitted the Cruz campaign is stealing Trump delegates in states that Trump won.

The Ted Cruz campaign is running Cruz supporters as Trump delegates in states that Trump won. That way they can steal the nomination from Trump in Cleveland although they’ve only won a fraction of the states Trump has won.

Guy Benson: This has been percolating for several months. He has a very sharp legal team that know the rules inside and out in a way the Trump campaign clearly does not. It’s not just Louisiana. And it’s not just finagling to just get Rubio delegates or unbound delegates. What they’re also doing is getting people elected as Trump delegates who are not, in fact, Trump loyalists. So they would be bound to Donald Trump on the first ballot only. After which, although they are technically Trump delegates, they’ve been sort of put in place to jump.

And these are the same people who call Trump supporters ‘morons’ one day and beg them to support Ted Cruz the next.

Stop it.

Trump has to win 1237 delegates. When he does, the fat lady sings. Until then, it's game on and Cruz still has a chance to win. Trump doesn't like quitters or losers so stop condemning Cruz for living up to Trump's expectations.

The other guy is in it simply to create havoc and bring about a contested convention. Of course, without him in the race, most of his voters go to Cruz. Is that why you're not complaining about Kasich still being in the race.....because it helps Cruz? You guys are so transparent with your inconsistencies.

I was willing to entertain the idea that Cruz is playing the part of unwitting stooge for the GOPe in all this but no more. If anything, the article that started this thread shows that Cruz is well aware that after the first ballot all bets are off, and he’s actually pro-actively doing something about it. Doing something to ensure that the votes will be there for him second time around.

Someone said up thread “Cruz supporters complain when Trump uses the art of the deal but it’s a-ok when Cruz does the same”.

Well the reverse is also true and maybe even more so (because Cruz hasn’t been running as the “deal maker” candidate). How bad is it when the candidate who claims to be the deal master can’t even be sure all of his delegates will always vote for him?

They are mostly well-meaning, but naive. They so much want to believe in the transformative power of one individual that they fail to see clearly what everyone else sees.

It’s sad that it has come to this. The Trump believers who learn from this debacle will be few, sadly. Most will continue to blame others.

Interesting morsel I wasn't aware of.....

"the establishment is using Cruz and don’t be surprised when Cruz is stabbed right in the back"

Cruz is a pro who understands this. He can take care of himself.

If Trump were anywhere near being acceptable to the majority in the party, then he would be gathering support and the voters would be coalescing around him. That he loses Wisconsin next week shows that this is not happening.

It’s not all a conspiracy of “Establishment” folks. It’s real, dedicated Conservatives who are not enthralled by Trump’s reality show.

Trump and his supporters wanted to kill the party more than they want to win the White House.

That’s the epitaph for this entire episode.

Paying attention?

Well, boy, let me ask you who was the first of the 17 in this primary election cycle to raise these issues?

Did Bush raise the specter of hordes of illegals crossing the southern border having a deleterious effect on our economy, our country, our future?

Did Lindsey Graham shout from the rooftops that our BOP position is untenable, is dangerous, and contributes mightily to the further deterioration of our currency?

Did Marco Rubio look at the world's state of affairs, and blatantly propose we seriously take a look at immigration from Islamic countries, and ACT on it?

Did Senator Cruz warn us loudly and often that the nuclear deal with Iran was not just a bad deal, but endangers our future?

The list, unfortunately, goes on.

Sure - there's been a lot of talk about these issues in Conservative trenches, but where has the spotlight, the speeches, the debates been on these issues NATIONALLY?

Where do we see them discussed on Sunday mornings on Meet The Press, et al, sans Donald Trump's emergence?

While for the past decade or better Trump has been a businessman and TV personality, there are those of us who can point to many “conservative” figures in that same time span who have been “dancing, entertaining and funding” for and around issues that are, and have been inimicable to the true Conservative movement.

“Obama’s Republicans”, so to speak.

Oh, caww, I've been paying plenty attention to what's been going on. The real question is, have you?

Exactly!!!And their willing to suspend reality to go along with this dog and pony show!!! If Trump is the nominee I will vote for him, even though I don’t think he can win. His supporters make no such commitment!!!

Honestly, the fact that very few remember, or know at all, anything before a Trump or Cruz Presidential run is the most frustrating thing for me. I think that is making me feel like part of the Democrat party more than any of the other bickering.

Are you a businessman with national and international reach?

If you are, you should be able to answer your own doubts about this.

If not, get back to us when you do.

.....”Trump ignored what savvy campaigners told him from the start. Trump hired Chuck Laudner to build an Iowa ground game - that’s grass roots delegates starting at the lowest level - and then Trump completely ignored Laudner.”.....

There were many a fight between them I understand.....but then Launders knew the man well before he was on board, in fact was with Trump years ago when he first began to toy with the Presidency.... So it's not like he didn't know what he was stepping into with Trump.....

Trumps has had 30 plus years playing the popularity game and media to sell his Brand.....not to mention refining his tactics to manipulate people and the environment he's in at any given moment.

There are many accomplished and successful people with notoriety , who even so shouldn't be President either...these do come to mind....and just as with Trump did for decades they bought and sold elections...and still do.
