Incredibly, despite the full support of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker; and despite the support of Speaker of the House Paul Ryan; and despite the non-stop campaigning of 2012 Presidential candidate Mitt Romney; and despite the support of the largest Wisconsin radio talk show voice, Charlie Sykes; and despite the endorsement of Governor Jeb Bush; and despite over $100 million Wall Street dollars being spent in negative attack ads against his opponent…

…. A full 58% of Wisconsin Voters still refuse to support Senator Ted Cruz

You know Jim I tried posting an article from Redstate the other day, and it won’t let (except for “bloggers” section), if Redstate applies to “blogs” why doesn’t the “Conservative Treehouse”?

After that post good sir, you must post eye candy. Least you not expect letters from my lawyers of the firm “Graggit, Stealit, and Run.”

They shall be demanding a very high tariff for the loss of my eyesight and not to mention uncontrolled bouts of vomiting.

You are a bad man for posting that obscene graffic.

The reason the Marquette poll showed Cruz up by 10 was that that was a poll of Republicans only. Does not take crossover into account.

No, you are sadly misinformed. The pollster himself addressed this false Trump talking point and others in his interview on the Kelly File last night. The MU poll includes all parts of the state and weighs in both independents and crossover voters amid those who will likely vote in the Republican Primary.

The pollster also pointed out that the poll was taken prior to Gov. Scott Walker's full throated endorsement of Ted Cruz and that Walker is beloved by 80% of the WI Republican electorate.

Trump has harmed himself even further in WI by attacking Walker after the endorsement using false Democrat talking points. Trump incorrectly claimed Walker caused a $2 billion budget shortfall (we're running at a slight surplus), slashed school funding and further suggested that Walker should have raised taxes Instead.

And this is a tremendous Trump insult to the people of Wisconsin. Do you realize the crap we had to deal with? All of the Capitol protests, the threats of violence by the union thugs, the flight of Democrat legislators to Illinois to avoid and delay tax-cutting GOP reforms, the teacher blue flu to participate in the protests, the recall elections. Act 10 has already saved Wisconsin taxpayers more than a billion dollars.

And the Orange Blowhard comes into Wisconsin, makes ZERO effort to learn or understand Act 10 or anything else, and - because his itty bitty feelings are hurt - lashes out at Walker with Dem talking points and suggests Wisconsin needs a tax hike???!!!!!

The Donald is going down and going down hard next Tuesday.

Agreed.
Also, I would think the unions who would go for Trump would also love the opportunity to stick it to Walker.

I love the ideology of politics. We are moving in real life terms of politics and away from purity.

The Left is going through that now, but I think they are one or two election cycles behind us. Bernie is not the guy. Black Americans due not align with their pro-abortion agenda or the climate radicals; unions do not align with free traders or climate radicals; Hispanics are not in alignment with the LGBT agenda, etc.

I think you are correct.

The “epicenter” of the GOPE will, naturally, go to the Establishment candidate, Cruz.

This is not an open primary. This is the center of the failed Republican establishment power. No citizen candidate is gonna mess with the Wisconsin Trio. Ryan, Walker, Priebus.

TRUMP 2016.

Look, when you have the Establishment running the STOP TRUMP campaign against their own frontrunner, it is not FREE Republic that has changed, but the Establishment propping up their Establishment candidate, Cruzader, to stop TRUMP short of winning the whole enchilada outright.

For all the howling Ted has issued, his record of accomplishment has been right where the Establishment needed it, and right on time.

Wake up.

In all these years I don’t think I’ve ever disagreed with anything you’ve posted until today. What happened to you? :-)

I’m a Cruz supporter but if Trump gets the nomination I’m most definitely voting for Trump. I can’t imagine the destruction coming if Bernie or Hillary win.

That is what the media said. You believing it is laughable. TRUMP never uttered the words or made such an implication, UNLESS you chose to infer such a thing.

Some candidates are lawyers and climbers. One is actually real. A citizen. With a REAL job. Guess who?

Try again.

Another interesting tidbit - I looked at some of the poll results saying how so many disliked Trump. They had data saying up to 74% of people disliked him but also had data that showed 52% would be OK supporting/voting for him - more than for any other candidate, even the “more liked/less-disliked” ones....

All right - let's both back up then.

The Bible says that we will all appear before the Judgment seat of Christ, and every word and deed will be brought into account (2 Corinthians 5:10 and Romans 2:6). Jesus also warned us in Matthew 5:22 about our harsh words. As you are a brother in the Lord, I ask forgiveness if anything I said to you personally was hurtful.

I don't like this whole mess (and it is a mess). Moreover, I feel that the ambition, lust, and greed of these pols are poisoning all of us. But until Christ takes us to His Kingdom, we are here, on this earth, in this country. And this political race will most likely determine whether we live or die as a nation (I firmly believe that).

I didn't comment on the primaries early on. But when I saw the outrageous actions and statements of Cruz, I had had enough.

And as the Spirit gives discernment (1 Corinthians 12:8), Cruz is bad news. I believe we are close to the end of days, and there is strong delusion all around us. That is the only explanation I see for all of post modern, inability to reason, and wicked status of humanity at the present time.

But does Scripture say that we cannot use the words and actions of another man (especially one who wants to have this much power over us) to determine whether or not he is fit for office? Certainly not! On the contrary, we are evaluate and use sound judgment ourselves. It is the godless left who corrupts Matthew 7: 1-3 for their own wicked purposes.

You never fully addressed the wrong of Cruz's totally inappropriate "joking", not did you condemn him as you have condemned me. Why is that? I believe it is because you refuse to see the evil in Cruz: his duplicity, his adultery, his dishonesty, his lust, his blind ambition.

Ted Cruz jokes about running over Donald Trump on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'

Like a maniac shooting flaming arrows of death is one who deceives their neighbor and says, “I was only joking!

Proverbs 26: 18-19

And this was a new low: Ted Cruz siding with the MSM, Black Lives Matter, La Raza, Barack Obama, the Democrats, and George Soros by claiming that the violence of Trump rallies (including one that had to be cancelled) were not because of the paid thugs who were shoving children there and throwing elbows at Trump supporters, but the fault of Trump himself.

Cruz Blames Trump For Violence At Rallies

And since you wanted to press the issue, I am going to address the adultry charges in part.

Why would a former Cruz employee, who was paid almost 2.5 times the normal salary while working for him, who posted Tweets (and he responded to) that were more than flirtatous but actually salacious for a married man, who is mentioned in the NE article and the accusation confirmed by Washington Times reporter Drew Johnson, pose for a photo at a bedroom at the Hyatt Regency hotel in a tight revealing dress with SKYN condoms at her side, and then lie about the photo being Photoshopped? She Photoshopped her own photos on her InstaGram account?

Throughout the nightmare of Obama's illegal "presidency", I have often thought how much pain and damage our nation could have avoided if the press had simply done its job and vetted Obama. But they didn't. The spiked every story about his Muslim belief, his homosexuality, his corruption, his lies, and his wickedness.

Why are you attacking those who don't want the nation to make the same mistake again?

Reporters from Breitbart and other outlets have confirmed that they were forced to spike the story, even though they had it in early February.

There is so much more I could post about Cruz. His blatant exploitation of his family in his videos and ads (I do everything to shield and protect my family), the gathering evidence of his infidelities, his ever growing list of falsehoods and lies, and on and on.

Is Trump a flawed man and a sinner? Absolutely. But in my judgment, he is the only candidate who has at least a chance of saving the Republic from imminent destruction. That isn't hyperbole - I think we have only a very short time before catastrophe strikes.

These polls are all whacked out. This latest poll is from Fox News. If nearly 60% of Republicans refuse to support Cruz does that mean the Marquette poll claiming that 40% of Republicans support Cruz is really at 16% support? If this is true the Republican party in Wisconsin is going to be annihilated.

This week I participated in a Rasmussen automated poll. I responded that I was a young black female single mom who hated Obama's policies. I suspect that I'm not the only one who either ignores pollsters, or has fun with them.

The only poll which matters happens Tuesday.

Why would a former Cruz employee, who was paid almost 2.5 times the normal salary while working for him,

People change jobs for all sorts of reasons. I once left a very high paying job to take one making significantly less money because it didn’t require me to put in 70+ hours per week including late nights and weekends and was closer to home; less money but a more satisfying job and better for my health, sanity and FWIW, my marriage.

who posted Tweets (and he responded to) that were more than flirtatous but actually salacious for a married man, who is mentioned in the NE article and the accusation confirmed by Washington Times reporter Drew Johnson,

A lot of her tweets have been taken out of context and made to look more salacious than there were. The “Daddy” tweet for instance was made right after and in direct reference to a Washington Post editorial cartoon where he was portrayed as The Grinch and his daughters as monkey’s on a leash. The Tweet (Why I date married men: "There's warmth and there's space, there's intimacy and there's distance...") that some think was praising the idea of dating married men was actually a comment and a negative one at that regarding a Salon article. Others like the “Grease – Summer Nights” exchange have been proven to have been faked. FWIW Drew Johnson is not a reporter but a sometimes columnist for the Washington Times and is no longer with the Washington times. And he did not FWIW, ever confirm that Carpenter was one of the two – “From what I know, at least 2 of the women named as Cruz mistresses by the National Enquirer are accurate” but it should also be mentioned that the NE didn’t name anyone by name, so who knows who Johnson was referring to.

pose for a photo at a bedroom at the Hyatt Regency hotel in a tight revealing dress with SKYN condoms at her side, and then lie about the photo being Photoshopped? She Photoshopped her own photos on her InstaGram account?

OMG! She was in a hotel room! The tramp! /s

FWIW, I wrote in the post about times I stayed at a hotel even though I was within commuting distance but stayed at, was put up at a hotel because I was going to be working long hours:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3414630/posts?page=186#186

As to the supposed condoms in the bed next to her, I don’t think she was saying that the photo she posted to her Instagram was faked or photo shopped but that subsequent manipulations of that photo trying to prove they were condoms were.

I can’t say what it is but some have speculated that it was the dress tag she removed after putting on the new dress she bought for her CNN appearance that night. I’ve googled images for KYN condoms and could not find one that looked like the photo in question.

in a tight revealing dress

Like this?

Or this?

This?

Please spare me your outrage over Carpenter’s dress.

I imagine that Carpenter has probably developed a rather thick skin over the years to these types of personal attacks:

May your children all die from debilitating, painful and incurable diseases': Democratic Party official forced to RESIGN after tweeting death wish to GOP senator's aide

And one final thought – Jeffery Lord who is unabashedly a Trump supporter and appears on CNN pretty much on a daily basis to promote and defend Trump, says this is a smear job on Carpenter:

MY FRIEND AMANDA CARPENTER - She has been smeared

“As you are a brother in the Lord, I ask forgiveness if anything I said to you personally was hurtful.”

I hold no ill feeling toward you, and you do NOT owe me an apology. But it shows great character that you are willing to ask even in a heated debate. Few people do this.

I know I OFTEN use hyperbolic language that offends people. It is really not my goal to offend or make people angry.

“Moreover, I feel that the ambition, lust, and greed of these pols are poisoning all of us. But until Christ takes us to His Kingdom, we are here, on this earth, in this country. And this political race will most likely determine whether we live or die as a nation (I firmly believe that).”

I agree to an extent. I actually do not think this nation CAN survive. But something good could take its place. That is only an opinion, of course. This election may determine how quickly or how painfully it ends.

“You never fully addressed the wrong of Cruz’s totally inappropriate ‘joking’, not did you condemn him as you have condemned me. Why is that?”

I have a lot of criticisms of Cruz and Trump. But I choose not to air them here because they serve no purpose. If Cruz is guilty of affairs that are either recent or his wife does not know about, that is not only a moral concern, but a practical one as this would open him up for blackmail. However, I think the evidence needs to be much stronger to lay this at his feet.

The joke on Kimmel was meant as a joke. The most that can be said is whether it is funny or appropriate. I think the claim that Cruz threatened to kill Trump or wants to kill Trump is the type of knee-jerk reaction that both campaigns have been making, that gives the whole fiasco an atmosphere of childishness.

The right way for Trump’s campaign to respond when asked is to say, “I don’t want to get into long discussions about whether Cruz is a funny comedian or if his jokes are in poor taste. We have issues to discuss.” And then move on. Or another way to handle it is with humor. “I’m not too worried about Cruz backing over me. We are so far in the lead.”

Both campaigns started off being polite toward each other. And then somewhere along the way, that got derailed.

But I do not think the Proverb you quoted applies to this. This is not a lie turned into a joke. He is expressing his anger, or pretended outrage more likely, at Trump. And for someone who criticized Trump for his “tone”, I think Cruz deserves a good thumping for it. On the other hand, making too big of a deal of it, makes the criticism look petty. I mean this about the Trump representatives comments, not yours.

“But in my judgment, he is the only candidate who has at least a chance of saving the Republic from imminent destruction.”

You could be right. I have supported Cruz through the primaries because he has the most conservative positions on most issues and has had a track record of standing up against the GOPe and doing what he promised his tea party supporters who sent him to Washington.

On the other hand, I do at least partly believe some of what he is being criticized for. It is certainly not going to cause me to vote for Hillary OR stay home in November.

Same applies to Trump. I support Trump. I have criticisms. But they are not deal breakers.

I think Cruz would have been taken out early in this primary if Trump had not been a shield for him. Trump took most of the negative flak directed at conservatism. Cruz benefitted. Cruz staying in the race has forced Trump to make more conservative commitments. Trump is not ideologically conservative, but I do think he is honest in his intentions. So I am glad to hear him make these commitments.

If Cruz did have recent affairs, he needs to realize that this will only get worse for him and his family if he continues. He should drop out. But if it is not true, then he has every reason to stay in. That is his call to make. He knows whether he did it or not. He also knows what the Bible says.

Numbers 32:23
But if you do not do so, then take note, you have sinned against the Lord; and be sure your sin will find you out.
